I’ve been living in Pensacola ( from Houston, TX)! for about 6 months now and I love it here! The neighborhood bar is pretty much lost in SW H-Town and I was thrilled to find a place so comfortable to hang out in. The Flight Deck has been open for 77 years and is steeped in history. From the moment I first walked in the door I knew I had found my spot. Shout out to bartenders Summer, Sooki and Jamie. The deck is small but seems intimate rather than cramped, and there is seating in back of the bar. I hope The Flight Deck will be around for at least another 77 years!

A liter of Jameson is $60 at this place. I bought it at the next liquor store (45 second drive) for $27. Dont you think the people sitting in that bar look at your bottle prices and dont gossip that youre ripping people off?? Id like to check the bar out but I see what kind of joint youre running.

Some years back I went into this bar. Bartender didn’t know it but I was at my wits end with life beating me up. I had walked here and I got sloppy drunk. The bartender saw my condition and called on a friend to drive me home and make sure I got in okay. I now look back and realize he probably saved my life. His name was Josh.

This place is exactly what I look for in a dive bar. Super relaxed environment, good music, parking was super easy, and the beer was cheap! Couldn’t recommend this place more if you’re looking for a small, hole-in-the-wall place to grab a beer or six.
