**Igloo Review** Although not terrible, the igloo experience was definitely lacking. A group of three of us booked the igloo and had high hopes because we have previously done the same at another hotel in Wausau which also offers a similar winter experience. The igloos at The Dive Bar fell way short of what we were expecting. First off, it was so cold inside and the one little heater couldn’t keep up with the cold air coming in every time the door was unzipped. They only provided one blanket, the couches were weirdly deep without enough pillows to offer back support, and the coffee table was too small to be practical. My biggest gripe is the price. You pay $70 just for the igloo rental, which does not go towards your final tab like other places we have visited, so for the three of us to have ONE pizza, two cocktails and a water, and tip our server, the total bill was about $155… for pizza!!! The whole experience just felt overpriced, clunky, and disappointing, especially since it seems these same issues have been brought up in other igloo reviews as well (shame on me for not reading the reviews before booking). I will say our server was great, the cocktails were good, and the pizza was very tasty.

The only reason I put a 4-star is because the outdoor sitting area had so many spiders and webs everywhere I couldn’t even get comfortable. I get that it’s outside but there are ways to reduce this…the drinks were fantastic, probably the best drinks I’ve had in Eau Claire!

Dive is amazingly trendy, fun place for cocktails. My friend and I visited on Thursday evening and the bar was very quiet. We sat right at the bar and were immediately greeted and served. I chose the Fire in the Sky and my friend had the Sage Advice, a Valentine’s special. Both of the cocktails were so well balanced and tasty! Dive is a great place to sip a drink and talk and that’s exactly what we did. The bartenders were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Although the drinks are definitely on the spendy side, I don’t mind paying a premium for a unique, well-balanced drink. We will definitely be back soon for more tasty sips!

Great spot for a date night and quite the opposite of a dive. Nice intimate setting with high windows overlooking downtown. The bartenders were all friendly and knew their drinks. We will be back and plan to do one of the outdoor igloos with a group of friends.

Tried the Igloo and it was a great date. Disappointed with the phrase “full menu” to get there and find out it was pizzas only (should have looked ahead). Waiters/bartenders were great. Everything individually was good. Considering for what we paid for a pizza, a 3 drinks and the igloo I can say I’m feel disappointed and won’t be back.
