Being white Puerto Rican I miss living at home with Dad making us Spanish food daily. Sitting outside Mambos made me feel very at home. The food was good too. I’d skip the tostones, they could be better.

KEANSBURG: Since 2021, Mambo Nando’s has been serving up Puerto Rican flavors and laid-back tropical vibes just steps from the Keansburg Amusement Park.

This hidden gem is dog-friendly, with outdoor seating at the counter, sidewalk tables, and a patio, perfect for dining with your pup.

Owners Jamie and Nando are as welcoming as their food is delicious.

Highlights from our tasting included slow-roasted pork, yellow rice with pigeon peas, vegan alcapurria, and both classic and Beyond Beef empanadas. The flavors were rich, authentic, with a growing vegan menu. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the menu is packed with must-try dishes.

Open March–December, Wednesday-Sunday, 12–7 PM. Order online for pickup or delivery via their website.

I have searched in the area for an Authentic Puerto Rican restaurant, Manbo Nando’s Food is delicious, authentic and they always have a vibe w the salsa music playing when you come and pick up. Pernil , pastelillos , alcapurrias arroz con gandules beans . Come through and try them. You won’t regret it! ❤️
I have no pics because I ate the food so fast and they have Abuelo‘s hot sauce! WEPA

I am so angry at myself. Im just now finding this wonderful delicious authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. I can honestly give my new rican spot a solid 10/10. I ordered lunch from him today as I’m finishing it and writing this review I’m also surfing his menu picking out dinner, now that says something. SUPPORT UR LOCAL BUSINESS I’ve never put nothing like that on my post’s before but seriously give this place a shot whether you’re stopping thru or u want it delivered there on door dash and they offer direct deliveries as well. Don’t sleep

Owner is a super nice and friendly guy. Food has SOOO much love and care poured into it. The price compared to the taste and amount of food is more than worth it. The vibe made me feel like I was back in PR again too!

If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Puerto Rican cuisine this is the spot! The food is cooked with so much care, and the pernil in particular is tender, seasoned perfectly, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere makes it even better. There’s always awesome music playing that adds to the vibe and makes you want to stay longer.
What really makes this restaurant shine, though, are the owners. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, taking time to interact with every guest in a genuine way. You can tell they love what they do and truly value their customers. It feels less like dining out and more like being invited into someone’s home for a meal. I can’t recommend this place enough!

My boyfriend is Puerto Rican and the only thing he makes is Piccadillo. Chef’s kiss to everything we ate the chicharrones were fantastic. And it was amazing to get plantanos that were cooked the way I make them (crispy on the edges and not like a raw plaintain). The boyfriend also got mofongo (I stole a taste even though I refuse to share my food).

We’re on the other side of Monmouth County and will definitely be back.

As a small business owner I love a restaurant that is owner operated with great food at a great price. And they’re open almost all year.

To be honest the food was very extra disgusting, we order some chicken loco, fingers fries, and mofongo… not even one of the meal was good… oil need to be change ASAP plus the mondongo was dry, the chicken loco was even worst because they didn’t even put ketchup or mayo on the sandwich or in bag… no napkins….. l will never never buy anything for this “restaurant” god l hope l don’t get sick because l had a bite of this nasty and disgusting food… when l called the restaurant l ask the girl if she speaks Spanish, because hello is a puerto tocan restaurant no? Hahahahaha she said yes,, l speak Spanish to her and them she will reply me back in English with an attitude….. never again. People think before you go here please , the food is not fresh at all

I like the food so much that I got them to cater my son’s 16th birthday. The food was delicious and plentiful. Had leftovers for the next day. As authentic as you can get. Thanks for Abuelo’s pique. It was a huge hit….
