Shortly after walking in, we were greeted by the most adorable little girl who was smiling ear to ear with a Santa hat on. She asked us if we wanted a Christmas card (turns out, it was just a tiny note on some notebook paper; pictured). Of course we said yes. Then after, she asked us if that when we were done with our meal, if we had any leftover change she would gladly donate it to the Ronald McDonald charity on our behalf.
I can only imagine this girl was here because her mom was working a shift on Christmas. But for this little girl to be spending her Christmas in a crowded Waffle House and still able to have this radiant positive attitude, serving others, spreading joy and encompassing Christmas spirit, was just truly the highlight of my Christmas. Just as her card says, my Christmas was blessed, and it was because of her. Her mom has done a wonderful job raising such an amazing child. This Christmas has become one of my favorites and will remain with me for a long time.
Food is absolutely fire, it’s clean and they stayed on top of cleaning things, and every employee there was respectful and kind!
I forget the name of our server, but she worked both 12.24 & 12.26 around noon/1 and she helped our booth which was the closest to the bathroom so hopefully that helps her get the recognition she deserves! She was awesome!
Let’s be clear: you don’t go to Waffle House for a Michelin-star experience. You go because it’s 2 AM, you’ve made some questionable life choices, and you need a waffle to make it all better. And in that, it is a flawless, five-star institution.
I walked in to the beautiful symphony of clanging plates, sizzling bacon, and a server shouting “MARK! SCATTERED, SMOTHERED, COVERED!” It was poetry. My All-Star Special arrived faster than I could second-guess my order. The waffle had those perfect little pockets to hold an unreasonable amount of syrup. The hash browns were a crispy, golden map of pure happiness. The coffee tasted like it had a job to do, and it was doing it well.
This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a cultural landmark. It’s the steadfast friend who’s always awake, always has the grill on, and will never judge you. An American treasure.
I had mobile order from Waffle House on Saturday around 8:45 AM, excited for a hearty breakfast. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for. To my shock, I found hair on my food. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and food handling practices at this establishment.
Overall, I left disappointed and won’t be returning.
