We’re always looking to try new spots! We found this one in the heart of downtown town Fullerton. At first we were skeptical of trying it out bc it was empty! We decided to give it a try anyway…

We opted to share a molcajete which includes two sides of rice and beans.

The rice and beans were delicious! The rice was super fluffy, it’s like the Mexican rice all abuelitas know how to make!

The molcajete itself is an 8/10
The chicken was very flavorful
The arrachera was ok.
The mini quesadillas were

Our server Yahir was very friendly and attentive 10/10

I would come back again…

OMG… The food here is delicious!! Amazing chef and family recipes. My girlfriend and I ordered the Alambres Kahlo (cheezy goodness I would get every time), Huarache de asada (tastes as good as it looks), and Emoladas de pollo (not pictured). Tacos are nicely priced and got some to go.

Dining area is small (only about 24 people can fit inside), but still didn’t have any trouble getting a table. I enjoyed the Spanish music choices. The quality of the food is better than some of the restaurants with a fancier atmosphere. Their salsas are spot-on and they go very well with their food. The incredibly beautiful server (someone please offer her a modeling opportunity*), was so nice and helpful in offering suggestions what is good. Look forward to coming back. Highly recommend. 10/10

*To owner, have Cenobia model as Kahlo for marketing and artwork inside the restaurant or talk about or present the food on your IG (how I found out about the restaurant). She is gorgeous. Looks like, but is even more gorgeous than, Carmen from the L Word (Sarah Shahi). She could be the restaurant icon to bring people in and the amazing food will keep them coming back.

I am leaving this review while I’m visiting anaheim California with my wife and three year old child. I went to this establishment with the hopes it was going to have good food. First off all I noticed once I got there tonight that the name was recently changed on the establishment. It was previously known as “Taqueria El Trompo”. My wife ordered tacos and after waiting over 30 minutes inside to be served and after paying a tip before being served my food came to my table and I realized immediately that they were one of those places that like to cut corners with their ingredients meaning the meat ingredients on the tacos. I paid for us to get tacos and received two tortillas filled with 85% rice, 10% meat and 5% onion and served with two different condiments for $13 each person. Two 12 oz. cans of coke were brought to the table for an additional $5.00 and while eating these so called tacos I immediately lost my appetite over the fact I felt I was being ripped off for what I was paying for.
I’ve been to many Mexican establishments in my 50 years and I have to say this place is a complete rip off for what you pay and receive. They didn’t give out any utensils and instead I had to stand in line for 10 minutes to receive one upon request. When they do called cleaned off the table we were sitting at before being served, they were very neglectful and didn’t use proper protocol which is to disinfect the surface but instead wiped down table with a wet cloth that had clearly been used many times before and had a sour odor to it. If your looking for good Mexican food and possibly a good place to sit down and enjoy a meal…. save your money and go to one of many other choices before going here. I don’t normally write reviews about any establishments but this one really stood out from the rest to say the least. Thanks for reading review and hopefully this helps you get a true honest opinion from a customer that is honest and forthcoming about the truth.

Went to what I had known as Callaghan’s only to discover that it had transformed into yet another ripoff Mexican dive. Only fatty mexican food. Happy hour advertised as 3-6. Yet had a pint of Stella at $8 and a schooner at $15! If these are beer at happy hour th hey ought to call it UNHAPPY HOUR! What a ripoff! Food wasn’t as good as Callahans.

Legit food. Amazing tacos! French fries are crispy & perfect. Service was awesome. The lady helping us was kind enough to put children’s shows on the TV to help keep our kids entertained.

Everything else was exceptional with flavors except the portions. I should have been warned that the tacos are quarter sized with heavy garnish and morsels of meat. I don’t know who decided to ensure all customers get surprised.
