Waitress was very friendly and personable. Food was on point. Wife had a sirloin cooked perfectly. I had one of the best country fried steaks I’ve ever had and the garlic mashed potatoes were AWESOME!!!! Food takes a bit to come out because it’s fresh not pre made. So sit back and don’t be in a hurry, because it’s worth the wait.

Our 1st time here with our family. It was AMAZING! Delicious food, wonderful service ($19 tip), cozy, relaxing, kid friendly environment. Huge servings! Appetizers were great (deep fried mushroom’s & cauliflower) We heard great review’s from other’s so we had to check it out and we will be back!

The perfect friendly, delicious, relaxed steak experience! We stopped on our way across I90, looking for a tasty local steak dinner and found flavourful, generously-sized steaks and prime rib served by friendly and efficient staff. And all very relaxed, occupied otherwise by local clientele who were clearly used to coming here for excellent food. Just wish this place was nearer to home so we could be regulars too.

The food was great. We had steak, ribeye for me and ribeye sandwich for my wife. Everything was just as we ordered it. The atmosphere was “old style steakhouse.”
I’m not sure it’s been updated since the 60’s but it was a comfortable feeling being there. If you are into modern high class places to eat, this place may not be for you.

Food was good. Charged extra for a tiny thimble of extra salad dressing. Waited about 25 minutes to get our Bill, then to finally get it processed. Did not apologize for their delays. Left a good tip for good food; no stop there next time !

If you are traveling I-90 or living local you need to know about this no pretense, no frills small town family restaurant / bar. I personally had a great ribeye here! These folks deliver quantity yum yums and top notch steaks! We are coming back!

The dining room is dated but clean. Charming in its own way. Service was quick and friendly. However, all I could think during our meal was, “But what do they MAKE here?” The appetizer, mass-frozen. The soup, not homemade. (“May I sample them?” “I’d have to go heat them up.”) As soon as we tasted them we realized they were the exact same flavor -and names- as the frozen soups we buy; Wisconsin cheddar and chicken tortilla. A little confused as to why the tortilla soup didn’t come with tortilla strips. Not only is that an integral part of the dish, it’s literally right in the name! Toss-up on whether the bland hash browns and over-seasoned waffle fries were mass-frozen or home done. The porterhouse WAS delicious but my walleye, while tasty, was so full of bones I spent most of the mealtime pulling them out. I couldn’t help but wonder why the prices matched those of a higher class of a restaurant while putting out obviously generic food and using cheaper-than-Walmart’s styrofoam plates. Would not eat here again primarily due to the lack of any real food being on our plates.
