I GO HERE FROM TIME TO TIME.. GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND CLEAN ESTABLISHMENT.. I LOVE THE CHEESY BREAD WITH EITHER DOUBLE STEAK OR CHICKEN BACON RANCH.. THOSE TWO AREY GO TO.. I used to visit this Subway regularly, like three or four times a month. It has plummeted in quality, both in terms of food and staff.
I would say that you get what you pay for, but you really don’t. They continually cut items AND increase prices at the same time. They pay their employees poorly, so the employees are understandably miserable. Everything is more expensive, the food is worse, and the customer service is worse because the company up top is as greedy as any other.
Save yourself the disappointment and just go to Angelina’s. It’s 5 minutes away, the staff aren’t unpleasant, and it’s a local chain.

This Subway location, which we’ve been visiting frequently lately, has been a huge disappointment. Especially during my last two visits, the experience was truly bad. I’m a vegetarian, so I don’t ask for any meat or cheese in my sandwich. Instead, I kindly request all the vegetables to be added. Saying I’d like all the vegetables should be a clear and simple request — yet somehow, it still gets questioned or ignored. The same employee, for the past two visits, keeps asking for each ingredient, “Do you want this too?” and ends up making a sandwich that’s nearly empty. A few spinach leaves, one or two thin cucumber slices etc… Most of the vegetables are missing.
I genuinely wonder — would they enjoy eating this dry, nearly empty sandwich they prepared? Being vegetarian or vegan doesn’t mean someone has to eat dry bread. On top of that, I had paid extra for avocado, and it took me a while to even notice it inside — that’s how little was added. We’re paying for this, and in return, we expect a properly prepared and filling product. After this experience, I won’t be returning to this location again.

I’m compelled to write this review as a last resort. I regularly visit Pittsfield every other week and prefer this Subway location. However, over the past two weeks, I’ve noticed a concerning attitude from one staff, which I initially dismissed. Unfortunately, today’s experience was particularly egregious, with the young man working there exhibiting a pronounced attitude problem, suggesting he may be struggling with personal issues or just rude. Regrettably, I will not be returning to this location again. Customers take notice!

Everytime i come to south st subway i get the worker who always is extremely rude rolls his eyes and yells at you to your order he’s very unprofessional and he put cheese on my sandwich and didn’t ask. if i wanted cheese and the food was extremely sloppy. but there’s no excuse to be rude if you don’t want to work at subway don’t! find a different job.

The staff working the closing shift on 2/13 were awesome. I just made it there close to 9:00 on my way home from work, which I know is annoying having worked in this industry myself. The young man who helped me was incredibly kind and welcoming. I didn’t feel rushed at all; in fact, he made sure that literally every topping was to my liking, which honestly would be going above and beyond at any time, let alone when you’re trying to get ready to close up for the night. I’ve had nothing but consistent, exceedingly positive experiences with both the staff and the quality of the food every time I come here, which is why I will continue to frequent this location.

Complete trash terrible service this kid with an Afro and this small girl were very rude with loud music that wasn’t customer friendly I have children I don’t need them hearing racial slurs, so I asked for a number of a manager. Was given the number of Mark Martin guess he’s the owner of all the local restaurants. He told me if I didn’t like his restaurant maybe I shouldn’t come in again. Never in my life have I dealt with such rude arrogant and egotistical people and behavior in my life and will be banning this establishment and letting everyone know that this place is not children friendly or people friendly. Such a shame how bad these local subways have become.

Food was good. Selection has gotten smaller. Hate that you can no longer get roast beef at any Subway anymore. This location was slow on service. Only 2 staff working & the line was going to the door. Everyone ordering 2-6 subs each. They should have at least 3 people on during mealtimes.

Nice people working but nothing special. Every subway tends to be the same expect for how miserable the staff are. These guys are pretty good. Food at every subway has become very expensive though.
