What happens when you dine next to the Canadian border, POUTINE baby. Two different gravy options, had both, can’t go wrong with either. Also had the turkey club. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was fresh turkey instead of sliced, nice. The pics show how I finished this fine meal, coconut cream pie, so good. All their pies look amazing. So I was a bit upset that my food filled me up so much and the slices are huge so I could only have one slice. Damn, I new I should have packed half the club sandwich for later.

Biggest Irving I have ever visited. I didn’t visit the restaurant but I visited the Circle K to use the bathroom. Bathroom was okay. Gas ⛽ pump area had hand sanitizer and gloves. Diesel pumps available for tractor trailers. Pumps accept Irving Debit cards. Facemask required.

So this is our experience:
Houlton Big Stop has an order online option. So three of us put in an order at 10:20am. The website told us it would be ready for pick up at 10:50. I left the office and arrived about 10:55-11, expecting our order should be complete.
I waited for about ten minutes for someone to come out from the back to greet us. (There were more people waiting for seats piling up behind me).
When I told them I had an online order, they hadn’t received the order, because their order computer battery was dead.
So I called back to the office to see if we wanted a refund or for me to wait for our meal, and we decided to wait for the food.
It took until 11:40 for our meals to come out.
Now one gentleman at the office didn’t get to have his meal because it took so long to get it.
The food is….. The “home fries” could have used some more time on the grill, definitely under cooked and crunchy.
The omelet which is the meat omelet, just tastes of straight cheddar cheese. I would never imagine myself calling something over-cheesy.
I’m not one to be a Karen and just write bad reviews when something doesn’t go my way, but this is just unacceptable. Big Stop is 100% not what it used to be. Not even close.
Sorry folks, I think we’ll skip it next time. Good luck in your business endeavors.

I had the Hungry Man Poutine!
It’s crinkled fries, topped with burger meat, cheese and beef style gravy! Well it’s sound like a great Idea! But I couldn’t synchronize my taste buds with this blend!
I think I said American Cheese, so that’s probably why? I should have said Nacho Cheese, that would have been a winner!
So I changed my order! To the doubled bacon Cheese Burger! And that was good!
Menu seemed bland. Not the cooks fault!

Dined here 3.26.23 around 1pm. Ordered Breakfast. We had the nicest waitress. On the ball, so attentive and pleasant. Food came out quickly and as ordered. Very nice visit. Left full and happy 🙂 When we are up this way again we will stop again- love the all day breakfast option for sure

Stopped here after a delivery, nearby. Their showers are very nice. I don’t know if it was an oversight, or not, but there was no wash cloth with the towels and it does take time for the water to heat up, but it was very nice and the folks working there were welcoming and working hard to meet the demands of their customers. The store is on the small side, but meets the basic needs and there is a restaurant that several said had great homestyle cooking. Overall, it was a really nice experience, here.
