I read the ratings and thought I would give this place a try .I ate here years ago food was ok But now it’s HORRIBLE No flavor I ordered the general Tao chicken it was hard and disgusting The Pork lo mein Disgusting Won’t be eating here ever again All Chinese restaurants aren’t created equal Stick to the one your familiar with!!!!❌If you want soupy, Salty food this place is dj or you !!!!❌

lots of options on the menu, all very tasty, good portions, decent prices as well…. General tso chicken was great combined it with lobster lo-mein and spring rolls made one heck of a lunch treat. So knowing myself ill likely visit again, again … and again

After our go-to place sold to new owners during covid, we had been struggling trying to find a Chinese spot that actually had good food….then we found Joyful Garden. We have ordered more items than we normally do just to try out different things amd everything has been excellent. The only thing that wasn’t a hit with my husband was the honey wings….he didn’t care for the sauce on the wings and texture of the wings. Otherwise this place has great food, at great prices. You have to try it out!

This place has THE BEST Chinese cuisine in Trenton, by far! Their dumplings are amazing, worth trying. The staff is wonderful as well! They are always super friendly and just good hearted people. I think this place is absolutely wonderful and should be recognized for it!

The food is really good. The rice is cooked at the right consistency, not to hard and not too sticky. Constructive criticism-I think they should wear gloves, but then again, I don’t know any Chinese takeout restaurant that wears gloves. It could look nicer in there if they did a small remodeling. But this is one of the best Chinese takeout restaurants in Trenton.

Pretty cool vintage place, i usaully order through call and wait 15 min or so and then pick up and enjoy my meal, good food, nice people. You should try it out if youre craving and or lazy to cook, its always a meal a family could enjoy.

Was tasty…open till midnight, but get your order in before 11:15pm or you selection will be minimal. But was still pleased with the pork lo mein and chicken wings…no egg foo young …at 1pm on a Sunday

The food was amazing !!! chicken was crunchy and very tasty. I love that they didn’t drown it in sauce and all the ingredients in the rice had flavor and stood on its own. 10/10
