I had a regular hamburger with a loaded baked potato. I was just passing through town so I didn’t know what to expect. The hamburger patty is fresh and juicy and the price that you pay for it is worth it. Low price. They do not have combos, but the a la carte is cheap. I also liked that the vegetables that came with the burger was separate so that I could choose how much to put on it without it being soggy. We didn’t have to wait long for the food either. The booths and other tables made for a relaxed atmosphere.
Only dislike was the smoking in the restaurant. There were customers across the way from us that started smoking. Luckily I was about done with my food.

Nice family run place. A bit run down, but they were very nice to accept us a few min before their closing time. A deep clean of the restroom would be real good, but probably won’t be enough to get it in shape. It needs to be redone, but with the prices (real low) they’re charging and the population they cater to, it might not be feasible. Wish I could give an idea. Food was just fine, nothing special.

We were on a trip back from my wife’s family and decided to give this place a try. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere is a small town diner with very friendly staff. As we dined in the restaurant many folks from the community spoke to us and were very friendly. It was a great opportunity for us to talk to our kids about different people, different backgrounds, and how it is important to give everybody the benefit of the doubt.

We came up from Kansas City and got lucky to find excellent food just moments from our destination. They have an awesome BUFFET that featured Ribs, Mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, BBQ beans, and much, much more which includes a salad bar! All of this for only $11 bucks (cash only)!! Unreal! the young ladies taking care of the restaurant went from zero to 100 in minutes as we snuck in just before the rush at 1120 or so and watched the place filled up in about 15-20 minutes after that. I cant wait to have a reason to have to return to this area because we are definitely coming back here again!

They are awesome.. my eggs are always cooked perfectly they are very friendly and what you want most in a place is delicious food this is a must stop in shelbina. If I had one thing to say I wish they were open one hours but that also part of the charm!

Affordable and friendly. Martha’s is a great place for casual dinners. Good old American cooking; burgers, chicken, catfish and such at dinner. Eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, biscuits and gravy for breakfast. My kids love it there.

Food was good, and served in a timely manner, the waitress was friendly and everyone seemed to know each other by name. A real downhome old fashioned cooked meal diner. Even the fountain soda pepsi had a fresh rich flavor. The only thing that i didnt like was the instant potatoes, i always prefer real potatoes. Other than that, fabulous.

This is a great place to go for good food. I would definitely recommend the hot beef plate or the all you can eat lunch buffet. I will go back here whenever in the area.

The waitress acted like she wasn’t happy to serve us. She never came back and checked on us, never asked us if we wanted a refill. My tenderloin was half burnt. Yep, we do not recommend
