Tried this place for the first time today and it was great! The eggs were perfect, toast was good, hashbrowns were AMAZING, the sausage is perfectly tender, the only thing I didn’t like was the ham but it was just too tough for me personally, but it was a huge piece! Will definitely be back!

Stopped at Opal’s #2 for lunch while on vacation. The Chopped Steak Sandwich was to die for and the Grilled Chicken Salad was so crisp and fresh. The staff was kind and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area!

Went for breakfast here during our trip and it was a quiet, cozy little joint. Our server was the only one there and was running the show with taking our order, cooking our food, and keeping us topped off on drinks. It was great and very reasonable prices. We’ll try to stop by again before we leave.

Restaurant is very clean, relaxing atmosphere. However, we waited 40 minutes for eggs, with people who came in 15 minutes after us getting their food first. My wife did not get her hashbrowns, even after letting them know that they were missing, and what we did get was pretty bad. Sorry, we won’t be back.

To be fair, there was about 40 of us, but it still took close to three hours to get served and when we left some tables still hadn’t been served. However they only had one waitress and one cook so they were doing their best, and the food was absolutely amazing!

The only reason I gave it four stars is that that five star requires a jacket to tie to sit down. Food was great. Down home cooking. If you had the option of a booth or a table. If you come at lunch they have a hot bar or a steamed table. They also have menu service. I was lucky enough to get breakfast still at 12:30. My wife had a patty melt. That was really nice. I had a ham and cheese omelette and the pancake. All of it was good!

Wow! The food was amazing! And very reasonable! I had a cheeseburger (best I’ve had in a long time) and some tater tots and let me tell you those tots were cooked to the right crispness… The perfect crunch! We also had fried pickles that were cooked just right … Not a mushy fried pickle here. The homemade chips were thin and crisp like they are suppose to be. Very pleased and look forward to visiting again.
