This is a really good Indian restaurant. The food was great. That service was excellent. The prices were good. Plenty of parking. If we ask for spicy it was spicy. And the the staff answered our questions and even made a dish that wasn’t on the menu. I would really recommend this restaurant and we’ll definitely go back.

The food, service, and value — everything is beyond perfect. We’ve tried the lunch buffet and takeout, and both were really nice. The best part is you can try many different curries at once when you come for the buffet.
I love the goat curry the most, and the chicken tikka masala is amazing too. Must try! Very highly recommended! The place is spotless, making the whole dining experience even better.

The quality of the food here is exceptional–my son insists it’s the best Indian food he’s ever had and is looking forward to coming back here the next time we’re in the area. But the service was truly second-to-none. In spite of the fact that the vast majority of the foot traffic was for food delivery / takeout, the servers were extraordinarily accommodating. They brought food quickly and they were *extremely* detail-oriented. Example: one of my kids ordered a juice and placed it a little close to the edge of the table. The server noticed it and instinctively moved it closer to the center of the table to prevent a bad spill.
It’s a small seating area, and I don’t know if it ever gets particularly crowded, but this place is truly a gem.

I had an excellent dining experience at Sher-A-Punjab in Quincy. I finally found some good North Indian cuisine in the area. I visited twice in a row. The first day, I enjoyed the buffet, which included a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, along with salad, fruits, and dessert. The next day, I visited in the afternoon and ordered paneer makhni with aloo paratha. Both meals were delicious, and I’m looking forward to visiting again soon.
Buffets are Friday – Sunday until 2:30 PM EST. Would recommend calling them before if you’re opting for buffet.

First time having Indian food, I really liked the atmosphere of the place very calm and elegant, the staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered garlic naan, butter chicken, shrimp samosa and a mango lassi. The mango lassi was creamy sweet and delicious, the shrimp samosa was okay not too much flavor? They also gave me some sides of pickled onion a cilantro sauce and a sweet sauce they were all good and worked well with the shrimp samosa. As for the butter chicken it was also okay a little bland very creamy and the chicken was tender and they give out good portions you can also adjust how spicy you want it. It was a good experience and I would recommend if anyone wants to try Indian food at a fair price and good portions and good quality food.

We’re so glad that Sher-a-Punjab has finally reopened in their new location at 195C Newport Ave in Quincy. The new location is more compact, but the open kitchen and big windows make for a very pleasant dining room. We were happy that our visit coincided with the lunch buffet, which is offered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The food was tasty, the service exemplary, resulting in a very enjoyable visit. We’ll be telling all our friends to dine here and coming back ourselves!
