Great food at great prices, server is personable and remembers me even though I’m not from the area. Their roast lunch plate special is great in both beef and pork!

Great place to eat. We had the best breakfast we’ve eaten in a long time. It’s definitely worth the drive from Tioga for us to get a hot, delicious breakfast. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly.

The food was perfect – it’s nice to eat somewhere that isn’t a chain or fast food. I ordered a western Burger (a hamburger with bacon, onion rings and BBQ sauce) and sweet potato fries. I was waited on quickly (in spite of the fact it was pretty crowded). When the food arrived – within a very reasonable amount of time, it was perfect!! The Food Barn was clean, the cook apparently has the skills down and our waitress was efficient and pleasant. The menu was good too. Something for everyone! They also have a beer and wine menu. The prices are more than reasonable, especially around here!
The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because, when they’re busy, there just isn’t enough parking I’d go back any time!

Visiting family in White Heart North Dakota. Sister said go catch some breakfast in Tioga. Couldn’t find an open breakfast place. Google Maps said the closest was 18 miles away. We went. Drove into the lovely little town of Powers Lake. A little red, horse stable looking building beckoned us into its gravel parking lot. Walked past the front counter into a simple, clean dining room, wooden tables, no tablecloths and ordered the best breakfast I’ve had since I last made my own. No, better than that. Hash browns from real, large grated, potatoes with ham, onions, green peppers, and cheese, a couple of over medium eggs (fully cooked whites with wonderfully runny yolks) and a small pancake (because the sweet waitress said the large pancake filled a large dinner plate and the cook, her mom, didn’t know how to make anything small. My brother had a full breakfast with sausage links and a nice, consistently warmed up, cup of Java. The meals were large and the price wasn’t. I was so pleased, with the service and the food, that I left an almost 50% tip. Sorry no pictures, but don’t let the outside fool you when you pull up to eat

The food is always good and staff is friendly. Carry out has also worked very well when I don’t have time to sit.

My fiancé and our daughter came from out of town & went to eat on a Saturday afternoon and had a unpleasant time. Our waitress was VERY rude. I understand people have bad days, but she was extremely rude. I wanted something that was on the menu, as I try to order them she responds “ we’re out, what else do you want, k, thanks”
Whoever the male it was that worked there, seemed nicer.

Great food and service. Good people, they actually do the cooking for the local senior center. Never had a bad meal. They are rated number one in small town north Dakota restaurants.

Down home, fill you up, maybe tease you about your new haircut… My coworker and I have been looking for a place like this all season. And another thing, I have never ordered a second bowl of soup in my life. Until now. It’s called Zoopla or something and it is probably the best soup I’ll ever have in this life. Go there. Eat there. Relax and laugh, and mind your manners. These are ladies making sure you get a decent meal at least once today.
