Stopped on our way through to our hotel in Beckley. Great choice
Lettuce wraps were good but the star was the filet!! We shared it and it was one of the best we’ve had and we’re pretty picky! We ordered a side salad, loaded potato, Mac and cheese and Brussels. All the sides were great!
Finished off with Bread Pudding done right! Would have loved some homemade whipped cream with it! Maybe they’ll add that next time!
Landon was our server and we were cold! It was in the teens and outside and the restaurant was chilly! He got us a heater! We were so appreciative! He was a great server!
Thanks for a great dinner!

Overall the experience was great in some areas but lacking in other. Atmosphere and service were superior. Unfortunately the food was subpar and lacking flavor and seasoning. Got grilled cheese and tomato soup and pork rinds. No seasoning on pork rinds or grilled cheese. Husband said his chicken parm sandwich was lacking as well. Food just wasn’t quite it, but service was excellent.

Food was soo delicious! Husband got the Hey Jack burger and it came as expected he said it was delicious, I ordered the chicken tenders, these are DELICIOUS but theyre actually chicken filets lol. Had the pretzels and pimento cheese for an appetizer and heads up the cheese comes cold! still delicious just not expected. kind of hard to get the waiters attenion even though it was 3pm on a sunday, and kind of a posh atmosphere with dark “mood lighting”. none the less a very pleasant experience and we will definitely be back!

What a great little restaurant! We were in town to ski, and I found this place online, read the reviews and made a reservation. We were seated at a half circle booth in the bar area, which is beautiful and has a few tvs. Our waiter was also the bartender and he was phenomenal. The food, same. We had the 6 ounce filet, the porchetta sandwich and the sweet and savory salad. All of it was sooooo good. The waitstaff were efficient and seemed relaxed, the vibe was Friday night at the neighborhood restaurant, and we will definitely be back as we are in the area a couple times a year. I highly recommend The Dish.

My family and I ate here twice during our stay in WV! Brunch was delicious with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. We came back again and especially enjoyed dinner with old friends, tasty drinks and good fun. My favorite dish was by far the Cajun Shrimp over Creamy Polenta. Delicious. Both of my teen daughters tried the iced coffee and were not disappointed. We will definitely be dining here every time we’re in town!

A nice little surprise in a Dollar General strip that we found from word-of-mouth staying at the Glades Springs Resort, and the food itself lived up to every good thing we heard. An appetizer of Firecracker Shrimp put the likes of Outback Steakhouse to shame with its spices and breading with a delicious dipping sauce.
Sadly, then, a chaotic environment with workers all playing tag trying to find their way as a manager was loudly exasperated at hosts and bus-people lead to a stressful environment. We waited another hour for a salad to show up and then longer for our main dishes.
The Chicken Marinara was amazingly well prepared and the breading was perfect on top of a delicious Alfredo. Chicken Wings were lightly breaded but just tender enough and sauced to perfection, but they had been under a lamp just long enough that they had cooled and the sauce has begun to dry into the wings. The kids couldn’t stop talking about how good the Tenders and fries were, crispy, tender and a great portion.
I can easily suggest the food, but cannot say it will be a relaxing experience and be careful on a time crunch!

The seemingly never ending work zone on the road running by made it a bit of a beast getting there. Around 5 o’clock, stop and go for over a mile. But once there we were seated promptly and even though the next shift came on at five the waitress from the bar side covered just fine. I had the sirloin with sweet potato fries and a house salad. Steak was cooked exactly as ordered and excellent. The fries were crisp and not overly sweetened with sugar as some restaurants present them. My wife made a meal of sides with the broccoli cheese and asparagus soup, grilled polenta and buffalo cauliflower. They were all served in time with my meal and she really liked the seasoning on the cauliflower. Would highly recommend if you are in this area and want more than hamburgers and dogs which seem to be the most popular local food.

Can’t say enough about this little place! It was originally recommended by our banker, so we gave it a try. The restaurant is in a very unassuming building next to The Dollar Tree. Don’t let that fool you. The interior is elegant, pretty and comfortable. Our server was friendly and efficient.
We had the chicken strips appetizer with house made ranch, and I had the Po’boy with mac-n-cheese for my side. The sandwich was great- next time I’ll as for extra sauce though. The mac-n-cheese was to DIE for! Delicious!! My hubby had the Scottish Salmon with polenta and sweet potato fries. All was amazing! The salmon had a slightly sweet light glaze that made it perfect, and I didn’t know polenta could taste like that! Yum!
For dessert we had the peanut butter cream pie and the avocado brownie. The brownie was stellar, and the pie was out of this world! Next time it’s pie for me!
Great visit – can’t wait to go again!

On a girls trip to visit WV, the owner of our rental suggested The Dish Cafe for lunch and we were so glad she did! They graciously accommodated a group of 18 and the food was amazing! We shared appetizers including cheese fries, pretzels with pimento cheese dip, and fried pickles- all very good! The entrees were generous portions and very delicious! With the small cafe atmosphere I was hesitant to get the steak, but everyone who ordered it said it was great! Then we had to try desserts and highly recommend the Blondie (still drooling from how good it was) and the berry brownie! Please go hungry, you will not regret it!
