Villagio Ristorante delivered a wonderful evening, thanks especially to our server **Kelli** and host **Al**.
Al greeted us warmly and made us feel instantly welcome. Kelli was exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, spot-on with recommendations, and full of positive energy. She elevated the already delicious food (perfect pasta, fresh ingredients) into a truly memorable experience.
Great food + heartfelt, top-notch service = a place we’ll return to again and again. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you, Kelli and Al!
Our experience was lovely, and we will definitely go back.
Our host, Al, was a very nice gentleman. We were seated before our reservation. It was great not to be left waiting.
Our waitress, Hannah, was amazing. She was friendly, prompt, and extremely knowledgeable about their menu. We would hope to get her again!
Lastly, the food was excellent. We both had very generous portions. My partner had chicken piccata and I had bolognese and pasta. A portion of mine came home, I couldn’t finish it.
Thank you for a lovely evening!
Side Dish: Cacio e Pepe (GF)
Wine: Castello di Gabbiano, (Chianti Classico Riserva)
Server: Hannah
Dinner at Villaggio hit all the right notes. The Bolognese was hearty, rich and the kind of dish you want to slow down and enjoy. The Agnolotti & Gnudi were comforting and well done…homemade.
Surprise favorite was the Caco e Pepe (GF on request). Great texture, and pepper kick in every bite. Nice classic Roman pasta.
Paired with Castello di Gabbiano Chianti Classico Riserva: smooth, balanced, bright cherry, a little earthy.
And, Hannah made the night. She was friendly, attentive, and had great timing…which always makes a difference.
Villaggio remains a reliable, relaxed spot for a really good Italian meal. Easy to recommend.
We had our baby with us (she didn’t make a peep the whole time) and the entire staff, from the lady who opened the door to the hostess to our waitress, was so incredibly kind and welcoming to us and our daughter!
Our waitress was Kelli and we couldn’t think of a time we were served better! She was amazing! She was knowledgeable, kind, and so personable!!
The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was so romantic and elegant!
We could not recommend this place more!!
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a lovely place to enjoy a special holiday evening. The staff was also exceptionally friendly and attentive, which added to the overall experience and made us feel very welcome.
Villaggio made our Christmas Eve dinner memorable, and we will absolutely be returning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for excellent Italian cuisine and great service in Pinehurst.
1. Ambiance was horrible. Bright white lights in the dining room we were in. Like a cheap cafe. Absolutely zero charm. Fireplace not operating. No holiday festive decor. My BF and I are staying at the Holly at Pinehurst for his birthday weekend and made reservations way in advanced for a romantic dinner and it was all but..
2. Wait staff was mediocre. Next to us they were preparing a table with such care you would think a royal was coming. Nope a couple of regulars having dinner were subsequently hovered over while we were pretty much ignored. The waitress was so loud in her 20 min chat with them we could not talk to eachother AT ALL during our dinner. It seemed that they are not interested in out of town visitors just regular locals.
3.I ordered something like German knodles that were good but too salty. Portion was 5 balls. No side. Terrible presentation. My BF had Chicken Parm. Easy enough. Not good. Salty, sauce was too acidic with zero flavor. Chicken tasted like whatever they brined it in. Pasta was 1/2 cup. We did like the Tiramisu which did not to seem to be made in-house. Note. I normally take and post pictures of the food…nope.
** I would not go back****
