I just moved to Maine and haven’t found any satisfactory pubs. My partner and I have visited 3 times now even bringing guests. All experiences were fantastic. The wait staff is super friendly and accommodating. I’m a vegetarian and they have food I can enjoy. From salads to veggie burgers and fabulous drinks. I will continue to return. I have found my new favorite location to dine and chill. Great find! Thanks Outlook Tavern!

We’ve come to the Outlook many times over the years and have had decent experiences up until our last visit. I’m not one to write reviews but felt the need to share. We came for lunch on a weekday as we knew it typically is not too busy. Immediately upon entering, we were met with the smell of what we thought was maybe gas or propane. While concerned, we decided to try to get a table and ask about the smell/see if it would dissipate. All of the tables and chairs were in disarray and there was an elderly man working on some of the chairs. Whatever he was using to clean or repair the chairs was the culprit of the foul odor. We were sat close to him working so we asked to move to another table farther away from the smell. Once we sat down at our new table we ordered some drinks and took a look at the menu. About 5 minutes later, the repair man started to hammer new feet onto the chairs in the middle of the dining room. There was only one other table of elderly women who were also shocked that this was occurring. All the staff looked concerned but nobody said anything to the man. We kindly asked our waitress if there was any way the man could stop while we were eating and she said she’d ask the manager to intervene. The manager did go and suggest that the man move the repairs into the pro shop. He begrudgingly moved some of his tools and chairs out of the way only to return not even 10 minutes later and start doing the same thing while we were trying to enjoy our food. The smell of whatever product he was using was so overpowering that we could barely eat. Additionally, the chicken pot pie (which I’ve previously had before and enjoyed) was watery and bland. My husband’s sandwich was decent but fries were soggy. My young daughter had their plain chicken breast with a side of broccoli (for a whopping $10). I asked for the broccoli to be cooked thoroughly as she’s still quite young and it came out practically raw. We ate a bit, asked for to go boxes to try to salvage the very expensive food at home and promptly left. We’re so disappointed that our prior experiences have been overshadowed by this event and a clear lack of care for customers.

Absolutely loved our experience at Outlook Tavern! I can’t say enough good things about their burger – it was cooked to perfection and just hit the spot. The side of mac & cheese was delicious and the fries were crispy and golden. The service was exceptional; they really know how to make you feel welcome and taken care of.
Oh, and the views of the golf course? Talk about a winning backdrop for a meal. It added a touch of serenity to the whole dining experience. Their beer menu featuring local brews was a pleasant surprise. Plus, the fact that everything was so affordable was the cherry on top.
Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Very good economical dinner, friendly staff and upbeat environment. Located at the Outlook Golf Course. Nice views and spacious location. Variety of specialty drinks and good amount of beers to select from. We’ve been a few times. Prime rib, tenders, potato skins, salad with shrimp (small), spinach artichoke dip, fish tacos all good. Mussels casino were prepared in an odd fashion. Service was excellent. Even though very busy, food came out promptly.

The food is mediocre, but inexpensive. The drinks are a bit pricey for the size, but the atmosphere is excellent! I went while they had live music. Outside is the place you want to sit!!!! I will be back. Family oriented or just fine for dining solo.

We’ve driven by this place on several occasions. Being the dead of winter, I had low expectations. The atmosphere is a warm tavern golf feel. A propane fireplace was a warm welcome. They have a large selection of tap beers, which is always a plus to us. Decided to cheat as the menu is pub like (salads looked amazing though… but it was so cold outside). We had the Buffalo Mac and Cheese and the Reuben. Kiddo always had the standard chicken fingers and French fries. All the food was surprisingly great! The mac and cheese was a guilt ridden bowl of flavor. The chef likes his or her job…. I’d you’re in the area pop in and get a bite to eat. The server was new but super attentive. She was being shadowed by another server as well. We will be back. I can’t wait to have a beer on the patio this summer.. with my Mac and cheese

Had the fish tacos with the best onion rings I have ever tasted! My husband, my son and my daughter-in-law all enjoyed their meals. Looking forward to coming here again! Wonderful staff also!

Wait staff are super friendly and attentive. Outside dining is simply beautiful, as good as it gets. The food is mediocre pub food. It woukd be great if they brought some culinary students on board and let them come up with an interesting and well-executed menu. Then it could all be perfect.

We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the golf course. Our waitress, Sarah, was fantastic. I split a Ruben with a friend it was delicious, the 3 person had a salt with tuna and enjoyed her meal.
We all will return.
