Tips was founded in 1964 by Kenny & Anna Marie Kennedy. It is now operated by Mick Kennedy. It is the oldest family operated bar in the County, a fun generational bar with so much history & memories. Safe establishment where everyone is welcome! Shuffleboard, Pool Table, Jukebox and occasional Live Music, free food for Monday NFL games, some holidays and random days plus THE COLDEST BEER IN TOWN! Contrary to urban legend, Tips is NOT an old person bar only Sunday-Wednesday 11AM-12PM Thursday-Saturday 11AM-2AM

It’s 3.00$ dollars everyday for a drink Pepsi , coke, root beer, beer, whiskey, just missing my brown hat. It’s very nice and playful. 2025+2025+2026

The owners wife, not the owner himself, works in the Tehama Court House a couple blocks over. The parking lot is rented to the police, & he won’t hesitate to call you in for a DUI. Tread CAREFULLY. Otherwise generic bar with overpriced watered down drinks.

One of the best dive bars I have ever been to!!! Prices are decent, adequate parking and it’s never a dull moment in there with the variety of characters that patronize this establishment. They have one pool table, shuffle board and an atm machine as they only accept cash.

This place is the epitome of the small neighborhood bar. Has a very friendly and welcoming core group, good prices, and the bartenders are always just over the top with coolness and positive energy.

Definitely recommend for anyone who’s looking for cozy instead of clubby.

Neat little bar in a corner of an old building. Not a dive. Cozy and inviting. If you like neon, you’ll love the sign out front. Staff treated this out of towner like a local and was quick with recommendations for local restaurants.
Fair prices. I enjoyed my time there.

Pretty basic dive bar, I think people only come here to drink. They have always made me stuff drinks though, which is nice. The bartenders here though are what really set it apart. Not sure how well this review will age, but currently in June 2017, the bartenders here are the best.

Love this spot because the patrons and customers are chill. The vibe is chill and they have the best bartenders in town. They also have bomb bands play, have theme parties, and serve free food to the public on certain holidays!!
