So Zarape Restaurant finally opened in the business corridor of 2nd Street in Belmont Shore, Long Beach. We are very happy that they have opened in our community. It is a great option of Latin food & is one of the best Mexican eateries in the city. The interior is colorful and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and our waitress Megan directed us to her favorites on the menu. She is very knowledgeable & definitely has the skills to make your visit pleasurable. We started with the taquitos and had all the different fillings so we could pick our favorites. We proceeded to order the fish plate that was very delicious. The salsa that was on it had just the right amount of spice and complimented the fish perfectly. They also feature aguas frescas so we had to have the horchata & tamarindo. Very refreshing. We will definitely be back to try the other menu options & will dive into the desserts. See you here!

I am so glad this place is finally open! The owner is a fantastic guy. His wife is equally awesome. The wait staff service was nothing short of outstanding. I can honestly say I’ve never tasted better tacos, anywhere! A lot of restaurants on 2nd Street tend to change their menu or quality over time, I hope nothing changes here because it’s great as it is! Megan was super knowledgeable about the menu items and very classy with her service. Come here for a casual meal, as a treat or to impress a date. You will not be disappointed.

I had such a wonderful experience at Zarape’ Cocina & Cantina. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance is lively and inviting, and the music selection adds so much energy to the space (even if it was a touch loud at times, it still fit the vibe perfectly).
The food was absolutely delicious. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The waitresses were attentive, friendly, and genuinely made the experience feel special.
