My wife and I truly enjoyed the experience. This small but intimate place in the heart of historic Dublin is such a gem. The service was 5 star, our server made some great recommendations. The cocktails were well constructed and both the food and the plating were excellent. The sister location was also amazing. The wine and cocktail selection and the knowledge of the staff made for a truly amazing evening.

Great experience. We had the Beef Tatski (very flavorful), half-dozen oysters (very clean and sweet, from Prince Edward Island). The Black Cod (very balanced and light), and the Roasted Plum Shortcake (perfectly amazing). You can’t go wrong here. We loved the experience. Get the espresso martini if that’s your cup of tea. It has a mix of orange, it’s perfect. Ask John to make the perfect Old Fashioned, it’s also just as beautiful…. Staff is amazing, responsive, and precise.

The minute we got to the door, we were greeted by a greeter who opened the door for us. They were smiling, happy, and inviting.
We ordered the whipped ricotta with grilled sourdough and radishes. The ricotta was topped with olive oil and it was delicious. The sourdough alone was worth ordering.
We then ordered two seasonal cocktails which were incredible. Not sugary, plenty of flavor (including the flavor of the liquor itself) which was perfectly crafted for the season. The “Tequila Mockingbird” and the “Drawing Room” are great if you visit soon. Then, our waitress was kind enough to offer her opinion on wines which ended up being great.
The entrees were incredible. The cavatelli and striploin were the perfect end to our meal. The horseradish sauce that came with the steak made me actually enjoy horseradish for the first time.
Atmosphere: Small, cozy, chic, and homey. It felt familial and warm while still feeling upscale.
Service: The staff were so kind and helpful. They were around the whole time (without hovering) and they really added to the experience.
Food: Worth every penny and perfectly crafted by the chef. No complaints here.

Had a lovely date night at Gene’s! We just moved to Columbus and were told that this spot was not to be missed. Couldn’t be more true! Excellent and well-priced wine list. We got the barolo and it was spectacular. Our server, John, was so warm and knowledgeable. We got several plates to split and loved each one. Atmosphere was so cozy and we loved all the unique antiques. Will definitely be returning.

What a great new place! The food was very fresh and tastefully done. The menu had fabulous choices that are different from most Columbus restaurants. My wife had the prawns with veggies. I had the pork loin which was cooked perfectly and juicy. We shared the chicken liver mousse toast and the compressed melon with Speck, they were both spectacular! For dessert, we had the sweet corn custard, a good semisweet choice.

Went here on a whim when I heard good things and has seats available. My server was great and very patient in describing some of the drinks and meals to figure out what I’d like.
The food was PHENOMENAL, the bone in pork chop was cooked perfectly and the maple glaze on it was perfect. It went so well with the grits and collards under it.
I finished it with the Privateer’s Lounge cocktail and the sticky toffee pudding and it was a nice finish to the meal.
I’ll definitely be back here when they change their menu up again, and if you have something to celebrate this is a great place to do it!!

Well… First off, this place is pretty charming just generally. Ambience is pretty good too – always a welcomed plus. It’s contemporary and chic. The staff are interesting and excited and committed. I went in the early months of its grand opening; so let’s hope the commitment is consistent. How’s the food? Totally excellent! I will only note that when we visited, we found the menu to be very simple ingredients that seemed to ask for impressions on nuances in our palette – rather a “kapow” of decadent tastes. It was in that way, slightly underwhelming. But the menu has changed since and I believe will continue to. Assuming they stick to the quality and presentation of their well prepared and fresh ingredients, then you have everything to look forward to. It’s small gems like this that I hope survive. If the management are listening then I would say. Take risks but also accommodate the classic palettes too. Isn’t balance everything after all? Dublin needs you. Thanks.
