I ordered the seafood platter and was very disappointed. There’s no seasoning on anything..the potato salad was white and no flavor, I added mustard to it which it made it better..the food was fried at too high of temperature..fried seafood is supposed to be golden brown not dark.. hush puppies were over fried and hard..I didn’t taste any of the shrimp, oysters or fish it tasted like old oil..staff was not properly trained on how to work the card reader..I opened one of the oysters..it’s more crust than oyster..

If you ever walk past this establishment and smell the savory aroma’s coming from their cookin/smokin hut—-it will make you want to go buy out, what they have! I noticed the smoke stack, @5am, this morning, and then the wonderful aromas! That’s when I photographed the smoke hut in use!

I come here for lunch all the time! The lunch special is fairly cheap, and it is always different every consecutive day. Their Friday lunch special is YUMMY! You get plenty of food for the price. I love their banana pudding! Highly recommend for good and cheap food. It just feels good for the soul to be eating this for lunch nearly every day!

Great local spot with fresh seafood from the attached seafood market. Can’t get much fresher than that. I had the lunch special, which was a seafood platter with Fish, Shrimp, Oysters, Boudin Ball, Fries, and Hush Puppies for $17. Great portions and reasonable prices. Get there early people start lining up 20 minutes before they open to order. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. And lots of parking.

Very disappointed in the fried shrimp. The Batter was soggy, and tasted like pepper flavored flour. Shrimp under cooked. The potato salad tasted like dirty potatoes.

Best local lunch spot, in my opinion. The specials are never lacking flavor or quantity. They also have the best roast beef po boys on the coast. Been going here regularly for 10 years and never had a bad meal.

We heard about this place from a TV commercial. We were closer by, so we thought we’d give it a try. We lucked out! It’s a small cafe in the corner of the fish market. The atmosphere is relaxed. The service is great. We both ordered the shrimp poboy. It’s very fresh tasting. It comes with a cup of gumbo. The gumbo is pretty thick and has a great flavor. Would definitely come back here.
