La Betty is a cozy café by day, and intimate wine bar + listening room by night.
By day, la Betty AM is a cozy café offering a thoughtful, reimagined take on from-scratch breakfast, lunch, coffee, and baked goods (don’t miss our brioche donuts!).
In the evenings, la Betty PM shifts a natural wine and vinyl listening bar, offering a rotating list of all-natural wines, small plates, and great music.

This is such a nice spot! As someone with my own vinyl collection, I love the look of their records on display—it adds such a cool vibe. My friends and I usually come here for their sweet treats as a reward after a workout, and their donuts and drink options are such a delicious pick-me-up!
I’ve also heard great things about their evening wine bar, so I’m super excited to try that later in the day. I’ll update my review once I do! 🙂

This is an incredible experience! The wine beverages were delicious, and it’s all natural, woke up feeling great the next day. I had the sliders and the wings, both were amazing. The whole vibe is awesome! The DJs playing vinyl made the night incredible. The staff was friendly, welcoming and they were also having a great time, listening to the music and being cordial.
In addition, during the day, you can get breakfast, brunch and bakery items. Every need was met and anticipated, this is a must visit when you are in DC!

When you Walk inside La Betty in front of you is a the counter of donuts and cakes.
The process of ordering was unclear and confusing. There were people standing in the lobby area who looked like customers.
Employees were behind the counter. Menus were by the door. There was no one to greet you. We asked the employee behind the counter where to go to eat.
A warm woman Asia appeared and told us we could order from her and she would call our name when the food was ready.
We walked to the right of the counter behind a wall and found a lounge area and dining tables. We sat down at the counter by the window. One of us had a laptop. Another woman appeared and told us there were no laptops allowed in the dining room. The woman told us to go to the other side of the entrance where laptops are allowed, which we did. Btw, Another customer was working at the same counter via phone and notepad.
There is no WiFi and the music is loud.
We ordered the following.
1. The Jelly donut was good filled with a nice amount of raspberry/strawberry jelly.
2. The Glazed donut was ok.
3. The Cream with coconut donut was ok. There is a lot of cream with a touch of coconut.
4. Chive cheddar biscuit with an egg.
The egg was good and the biscuit was surprisingly bland.
5. The French baguette is good.
May return to try their other food options but do not want to go out of our way to return.

A must stop for those interested in whiling away time solo or with friends. I had the most colorful meal ever in a cozy atmosphere The staff are friendly, helpful, and stylish. You’ll want to take off your shoes and relax into the shag carpet. Relax, but keep your shoes on! Lol I look forward to coming back many times!

Cool chic atmosphere with guest DJs spinning vinyl on certain nights! Cool wine bar with elevated medium small plates.

This place is a gem… I always focus on the food and drinks first, as those are my priorities when I eat out, but wow the entire atmosphere and vibe make this place even more special. The food was the right amount of sweet, savory, and salty (shoutout to the epic cinnamon rolls) and not overpriced! But most importantly, the service was top. Mile, especially was kind and always made sure we had what we needed (w/o being overbearing or interrupting), offered continuously to make us more comfortable, and made great suggestions. As for the space, it’s spacious, has different nooks for singular visitors and for large groups as well, and it just all felt very cool an hip. I’m looking forward to visiting during a vinyl Dj set night AND for more places like these to pop up in the city 🙂

The best natural wine selections in dc, two different vibes at night, before 8pm was laidback, chill music selection, great way to hang out and have a glass before dinner. After 8pm, it was upbeat and fun, old school hiphop that night, seating was pretty spaced out so not crowded, great place for couples or groups. Lots of seating options for different vibes, lounge seating, window seats, booth seats, etc. Service was good, host in front takes you to your seat, then you order at the bar, great idea for a place like this imo

The food and drink is great and they’ve designed the place well. The staff are also quite kind and always dressed well. The issue is that La Betty thinks its cooler than it actually is. And the effort they put into being “cool” detracts from the actual value of a neighborhood coffee shop. I have spent a number of mornings here and have never seen the place full yet they refuse to provide wifi or outlets. I’ve also been here in the evenings when they claim there is no space left but the standing table is fully open and I see tables available. The place they had before was so lovely and open and nice to work at. The food is so expensive too and the music is loud for like a Wednesday morning. I would love a properly cozy La Betty that just wants to be homey.

If you’re tired of brunch being a competitive sport that only happens on Saturdays, let me introduce you to your new midweek hero: la betty
First of all, this place understands that brunch doesn’t have a curfew. Thursday? Avocado toast. Random Wednesday when you just emotionally need an egg and taters?
The vibe???
cozy-chaotic in the best way — colorful walls, retro touches.
service?? I got you!
No stiff, scripted service — just genuine, upbeat vibes. They look like cool regulars… who also happen to know exactly where the extra hot sauce is.
Go on a weekday morning, stroll in like the brunch royalty you are, and sit down without the dramatic 45-minute wait.
