We got 2 carne asada tacos with everything on them. They were very generous with the meat but it was very spicy. Tacos came with a side of chips. We also got the San Jose quesadilla which is supposed to be a birria quesadilla. It lacked the birria flavor and there was no consome served with it. I do appreciate the guacamole, sour cream, and pico that were served with it. Overall, it tasted like a shredded beef quesadilla. Nothing special about it. The garlic yuca fries (not pictured) were fresh and tasty.

I visited during the Super Bowl expecting a solid, satisfying meal and ordered the asada nachos and a cod fish taco. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the occasion. The fish tasted pre-packaged rather than fresh, and the vegetables seemed straight from a bag. That approach is fine if intentional, but the pricing should reflect that level of preparation.
The nachos were especially underwhelming—sparse toppings, no beans, overly salty beef, and chips so thin they broke apart before serving their purpose. Basic staples like cilantro or sour cream were missing entirely. Overall, the food felt rushed and assembled without care, more like a placeholder than something crafted with pride.
At this price point, customers expect quality and attention to detail. With a little more effort and freshness, this place could be much better. Right now, it feels like a missed opportunity rather than a meal worth returning for.

Went to San Pedro Square for lunch and I can never turn down a taco. I got a couple tacos and they were some of the best that I’ve ever had. One was an Al Pastor and the fresh pineapple was such a nice touch. The other was a Steak Asada with crushed Doritos on top and I really enjoyed the crunch that it added. Also kind of nice that the tacos came with chips and salsa! Definitely a good value for the price. Super good food and a really cool indoor food court vibe!

This knocks another one off the San Pedro Square list of restaurants to review. I don’t often read the reviews from other people before I write my own, but this time was an exception. My experience here left me sitting on the fence about the restaurant, thus the three star review .
I’ve seen other people discuss how they appreciate the speed of service, and I won’t lie, the speed at which they delivered my chicken nachos were spectacular. The downside is the quality of food isn’t always that great.
Previous reviews have mentioned how they felt like their carne asada was refried, or reused, but I ordered the chicken, and it was fine. I really can’t make this a rule of thumb, but at least for reviews, it’s always safest to order the chicken. The bad news is the additional chicken on my nachos cost me $5, making the price point of the nacho delight a little bit too high for me to recommend.
The nachos already costing $12, plus adding meat as an additional $5, meant that there were high expectations on nachos for which I just paid $17. The nachos were good, probably $12 good, and not $17 good. The chips we crunchy in some places, soggy in others. The overall plate was warm in some places, and cold in others. The amount of toppings seemed appropriate, but it just wasn’t anything exceptional.
It was like exactly half of the nacho plate met my expectations, so I figure I probably should have paid half the price. Considering the other restaurants in this space, ones providing similar speed of service, with a better consistency of food, I don’t think I can recommend Loteria Taco bar.
I typically try not to name drop other restaurants in competitive reviews, but when the other restaurant is also in San Pedro Square, I make a bit of an exception. Suerte, is a much better bang for your buck.

The menu looks really excellent here, but the flavor and quality were not what I expected. I tried the tacos: al pastor, duck carnitas, and quesa birria. We came on a busy Saturday night and the meat was not the freshest tasting.

There were some good reviews for this taco bar but this isn’t one. Nachos – how do you mess up nachos? We were looking forward to the Loteria Nachos with carne asada. The carne asada was so disappointing. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was old carne asada refried on the grill as it was burnt & extremely crunchy. The chips were stale and combined with the pico, cheese, jalapeños & crispy burnt meat made for an unappetizing order of nachos. The two pieces of normal looking carne asada were bland. The carne asada taco had the same crispy burnt meat & the tortilla was the only edible part. We should’ve returned both but the gal who took our order wasn’t the most pleasant and I didn’t want to deal with her again. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Imagine ya in the kitchen with ya grandma and she says yall are making chicken pot pie soup. Yall know what that chicken looked like, bland because the flavor was going into the gravy.
Well they got grandmas pot pie chicken here. Don’t get me wrong the staff were Great and service was fast, Just not what I am expecting from a taco place. (And I eat ALOT of tacos)
