Took me a while to post a review because I was torn between 4 and 5 stars. I think in the end, the great service won me over. Definitely small business vibe with very friendly service. Heard about the place on social and happened to be in Glendale so stopped by. Parking is tight, but we got lucky with street parking which is 30 mins just in front of the store. They have two dedicated spots in front as well.
We tried the smokin pastrami breakfast sandwich which was magnificent and can easily feed two. Fluffy light bread and perfect mix of meat, eggs, avocado and cheese. Five stars for sure. Make sure to get there before noon to try it out.
Also tried the #8, pastrami Rays Way which was recommended as one of the sandwiches that put them on the map. I really wasn’t a fan. Really wanted the pastrami to stand out, but it got lost in the sandwich and didn’t really taste the meat until I deconstructed it but then was a pretty skinny sandwich 🙂 unlike the breakfast sandwich which you don’t expect the pastrami to stand out as much, this sandwich was supposed to pop with pastrami. Did I get a smaller portion than normal or just too much lettuce and aioli? Flavors were there, so will be back but may have to try the classic #6 real deal pastrami with just mustard and see if that turns me around. Definitely worth the trip and good luck with parking. Seem like they will take phone orders as well for quick in and out.

I’d been stalking Corner Market in Glendale on Instagram for a while, bookmark set, just waiting for the right moment. When I finally went, turned out the timing was almost perfect: I’d shown up once before at 5:25 only to find out they stopped taking orders at 5:15. That made today’s lunch run feel like a redemption tour.
The spot lives right on a corner (hence the name) and the parking? Easy. Street spots, no stress. Inside it’s part market, part sandwich laboratory. Chips, drinks, little grocery items lining shelves while behind the counter they’re full-on making sandwiches. Family-owned vibe, and it shows. Service was smooth, friendly, and efficient.
I asked the staff what to try and they pointed me to the Pastrami Ray’s Way. Around $19 (no chips or drink), but they load it up enough that you’re feeling like you got your money’s worth. The bread was the standout: crunchy crust, fluffy inside. This is a rare to find that balance and they nailed it. Inside, the pastrami was juicy, the slaw added a nice texture mix, and the whole thing just worked. I’ve eaten pastrami sandwiches all over L.A., and this one has to be in my top tier. Flavor, portion, price all lined up.
If I’m scoring this on a 10-point scale, I’m giving it a 9.3. I’m stingy with perfect scores, but this one comes close. A couple of places might edge it in one category or another, but the complete package here? Rare. Every sandwich I peered at looked like a contender. If I live nearb this is the kind of place that goes from “nice to try” to “regular stop.” Highly recommend.

Between the quality meats and amazing bread with crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. You can’t go wrong here. Spicy Italian and pastrami are definitely just try! Don’t overlook their breakfast sandwiches served all day for those who love eggs for lunch like me. Just order in advance as they can get just. Anush!

I only got it to go online and I never got to see the store so I’ll come back again another time. I do think the sandwich is a bit pricey at $22 though. Regardless, it’s still a place I’ll come back too.

You need to pay special attention to training your staff to be polite to customers. Professionalism means respecting every customer. The way your staff behaves could very quickly drive your customers away. If you don’t respect your customers, it means one thing: you don’t respect yourself.

I love this place. Every Sandwhich is amazing. You won’t go wrong. Parking is street parking but there’s always parking. I highly recommend the pudding they carry too. So good.

I’ve driven by this place so many times and figured it was a community liquor store. Boy, was I wrong! Their subs are something different. Either you want quality, which is what they give you or quantity what others offer? No brainer. Yes, this place offers NO PARKING, especially driving trailers or big company vehicles. But it’s worth the hassle.
