As the name of the store this restaurant it is specified in special types of banh. I love how crispy banh khot is. Bánh cuốn is great because of their fried shallot. I just wish the fish sauce is a little bit more flavorful to go well with those dishes.

my first time trying phở chay after becoming pescatarian for almost a decade! personally, it wasn’t anything to write home about. the bánh khọt was nice, but i wish they provided more lettuce for wrap bites. the nước soda chanh was good! from what i picked up with the broken vietnamese i know, banh philly is run by a viet family and that shows through the diverse selection of their menu. the prices reflect on the area, and the flavor profile seemed more catered to an american palate, unsurprisingly–have yet to find a place that does nước chấm right imo. for that reason i probably won’t come back. i think the spot is great for inexperienced americans to have access to viet dishes like bánh xèo, but paying that bill felt like friendly fire lol

Decent Vietnamese food in Philly city center. I really like the taste of their congee, I think it is because of the ginger. However, I don’t really like the dồi. Bún thịt nướng is okay and portion is huge. This bánh bèo is probably the best I have had, but homemade is still better. It took them forever to bring this out tho and no communication about how long this would take was mads.

Stepping into this new Vietnamese gem in Philly felt like a warm embrace from my homeland. From the first bite to the last, every dish exuded authenticity, reminiscent of the bustling streets of Vietnam. What truly sets this place apart is its dedication to serving genuine Vietnamese street food, a rare find in Philadelphia and a delightful surprise for any food enthusiast.
The service was impeccable, with the owners radiating genuine warmth and hospitality. Their passion for their cuisine shone through in every interaction, making the dining experience feel like a cherished memory.
As I savored each mouthwatering dish, I couldn’t help but admire the beautifully decorated ambiance, which perfectly captured the essence of Vietnam. The vibes were just right, creating an atmosphere that was both inviting and enchanting.
Leaving the restaurant, I found myself already planning my next visit, eager to explore more of their tantalizing menu offerings. This place is truly a hidden gem, a culinary haven that promises to transport diners to the vibrant streets of Vietnam with each and every visit.

I am a huge fan of Vietnamese food, and Banh offers a better selection of traditional Vietnamese food than most other restaurants in Philly. Everything I’ve had is consistently delicious, more so than most other restaurants. I’ve even brought friends because I love this place so much! 10/10

I was so excited to see a new Vietnamese restaurant opening downtown with a bunch of delicacies you can’t typically get elsewhere! We ordered tau hu ky, banh khot, banh cuon, and banh beo. Many Vietnamese restaurants in Philly don’t offer these options, which really makes this establishment stand out!
The ambience and service were great, and the food was delicious. The food was authentic, and a real determinant of whether the restaurant is legit is how well their nuoc mam (fish sauce) tastes! It was 5 stars across the board for me, and I can’t wait to go back.

I ordered takeout and it was a great experience!! I went in to order and the restaurant was really cute and I’d definitely come back to eat in store. The banh xeo and banh khot were still crispy and were really great even by the time I got home! The meat in the bun cha was SOO good as well! I grew up eating these dishes and was thoroughly impressed! Excited for another great new Vietnamese restaurant in the area.

Great experience! I was in Philly for a concert last night and stopped in here before the show. I had the Grilled Pork Vermicelli Bowl, so good! The serving amount was great it was enough for leftovers. I would have taken some home but I had a concert and my car was parked in a garage but will take leftovers in the future. Also, the price was very reasonable for the amount of food.
Now let’s talk about service, the staff was very friendly, food came out in a timely matter and they make you feel at home.
Banh Philly is definitely a great stop for lunch or dinner so I highly recommend this restaurant! I don’t live in Philly but if I did I definitely think I would be a regular!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Banh Philly, and it was an experience that surpassed all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our visit.
The meal was nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish was a masterpiece, but the crab rolls truly stole the show. We loved them so much that we ordered them twice! The delicate balance of flavors and the fresh ingredients made each bite a delight. They were crispy on the outside, succulent on the inside, and paired perfectly with the dipping sauce.
In addition to the crab rolls, we sampled several other dishes, each one more delicious than the last. The pho was rich and flavorful, the banh mi had the perfect crunch and balance of textures, and the spring rolls were light and refreshing. Every dish was prepared with care and presented beautifully.
The ambiance of rhe restaurant added to the overall experience. The decor is modern yet cozy, creating a perfect setting for a memorable meal. Whether you’re there for a casual lunch or a special dinner, the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The attention to detail in both the food and the service is evident, making it clear that the team takes great pride in what they do. It’s rare to find a restaurant that excels in every aspect, but Banh Philly manages to do just that.
They offered an unforgettable dining experience. The combination of outstanding service, exquisite food, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit. I cannot recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning soon. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy delicious cuisine, Banh Philly is the place to go!

The food here is SO yummy! They have the classic Viet dishes such as BahnMi and Pho but also have other dishes that are harder to find in Viet restaurants. The bun bo hue is so flavorful and the meat is very tender. The banh Cuon and Banh Khot were delicious as well. Im so happy there’s an authentic Viet restaurant in Center City! This was my 3rd time visiting and they have been great every time.
