Had a really nice time here. Jennie was super friendly and helpful, she walked us through the menu and gave great recommendations.
The chicken wings were a standout: cheap and tasty. The Bun Boa Hue was also excellent. My gf tried the Pho Special and thought it was pretty good too.
The place was a bit noisy, but it felt open and didn’t smell like food at all, which was nice. Definitely come back!

This place is surprisingly spacious and comfortable, with a relaxed atmosphere. The service is excellent — our waitress came over to take our order within two minutes, even though the restaurant was half full and only two staff were on the floor.
The food is outstanding. The $1 chicken wings during happy hour are a must-try — perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside, with a really flavorful and well-balanced seasoning. The pho is just as impressive: the broth has a gentle sweetness and depth that tastes naturally rich, not heavy with MSG. The portion is generous, and the bone-in beef adds a lot of character and flavor to the soup.
Drinks were equally great — both the matcha and the Vietnamese iced coffee were smooth, nicely presented, and well-balanced in taste.
Overall, a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Definitely a spot we’ll come back to again.

26 Viet Café is such a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the staff (Nicola) was warm, attentive, and made us feel comfortable. They were happy to explain the menu and made sure we had everything we needed.

The crab pho was a real showstopper: rich, flavorful broth with silky noodles and a perfectly fried soft-shell crab right on top. Both the Hainanese chicken and lemongrass chicken were cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. We also loved the bold Vietnamese drip coffee and ended our meal with refreshing mango sago, which was the sweetest finish.

This Vietnamese restaurant located on W 41 in Kerrisdale is very spacious with lots of seating. Veggie options are limited but the menu has a separate section, which is rare. The veg noodle was decent, spring rolls were underwhelming, the mango and taro tapioca desserts were average, but the salted cream coffee was really good. Overall decent place slightly on the expensive end.

The food stood out: The pork banh-mi was delicious with the baguette having a nice crust and the pork well cooked but juicy and nicely marinated. The beef noodle pho was as good as it may get and served with nice plate of beansprouts. The setting is more a ‘fast-food’ diner, and the stuffy air took away from the food. We noticed dine-in senior days so nice!

To be honest, I first came here because I saw a lot of posts online and was curious to try it out. But honestly, I think the restaurant should improve the flavors, especially the chicken wings, which are supposed to be their signature dish.
I’ve been here three times. One visit was really disappointing, the young waitress made me wait a long time before even taking my order, and I didn’t receive any apology. Another time, an older lady served me, but she seemed to rush me through my order. I came to enjoy a meal, not to feel pressured
Today, I returned because I had work nearby and brought my business partner along
The food was fine this time, but what really made a difference was the service
The waiter today was very professional and made me feel valued as a customer. I don’t know if the owner has noticed the attitude of the previous staff, but this experience was much better

Chicken wings happy 5/5 definitely worth it. The pork salad was nice huge portions. Pass on the soft shell crab the batter was too thick but again the price is so good.
