By far one of the most enjoyable food experiences I have had. Service was amazing and the 1920s 1930s retro ambiance was excellent. Highly recommend Berebere Spiced Prawns & Injera Bruschette as appetizers. The Koseret Tibs (lamb) was a great entree. My drink of choice was The Amiche, spicey and good! A+++ Can’t wait to go back!

Serving such amazing food from a truck is impressive. Everything tasted amazing, although I’ll have to go again since they were out of injera. The food was amazing, and absolutely worth the price! The staff running the truck was so kind, and I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for quick Ethiopian/Eritrean food. Their house sauce was fantastic, give it a try!

I went here with my girlfriend to try out Ethiopian food. We ordered the Chicken Tibs with Sambusa.

When we got to the place., it’s in a shady warehouse which is awesome. We had high hopes.

However, you have to order online and you don’t get a notification if your food is ready.

The sambusa were super small with barely any filling for $6. The Chicken Tibs lowkey taste like Halal. In addition, we were missing our injera and a part of the vegetables ordered (chickpeas) for our chicken Tibs. Our food looked NOTHING like we saw and expected it to be.

Makina Cafe Eritrean-Ethiopian To Go balances flavors in ways few restaurants can match. Their various menu items all show quality. Employee care was notably superior. Service exceeded expectations, food delivery was fast, and the cooking was excellent. I’ll visit again when I’m in this part of town.

We ordered delivery. The chicken tibs plate with collard greens and chickpea with injera was so good! My first time with Ethiopian cuisine, and a new gluten free favorite!

I’d spotted their truck for some years now but had never given it a try. I finally did and I should have a long time ago! I got the vegetarian bowl so I got to pick three veggies. Went with red lentil, chickpeas and greens over rice. So flavorful and filling. The awaze sauce added a nice kick. Love their eco-friendly packaging. I’ll be going back for more!
