Nice little place in the bonaventure. They prefer cash but accept all card. Ordered the beef pho, it arrived really quick and tasted great! Definitely more than I could finish though 🙂

East West Cafe was busy and tasty for a very quiet downtown building.

What a hidden gem in the Westin Bonaventure Hotel! We ran into it by accident while we were at the hotel last week. It’s probably an eatery with the most competitive prices we have seen in LA. The place is quiet. There were enough chairs and tables as it was not busy at all whenever we passed by. The food quality is decent. We enjoyed the grilled chicken Vietnamese sandwich the most. The taste of its pho can be good but not stable. The soup tasted too sour the 2nd time we ordered the same pho a few days later. Yes, you need to sign the credit card payment stub. Gave me a sense of nostalgia for I haven’t done that for years.

This little eatery is one of the most well preserved 90s places I’ve ever seen.
Almost completely untouched since the 90s but still kept extremely clean and we’ll manicured.
You can film an episode of Saved By The Bell here and it would fit the aesthetic perfectly because it IS the aesthetic! It’s nostalgic just walking in.

Cheap prices, inferior ingredients. Feels like you stepped into an 80s cafeteria. Outdated payment system. You’re better off stepping outside the hotel to a multitude of much better choices within a walking distance.

Broth didn’t taste like the proper broth I’m used to. Also found a piece of hair in the food.
