Is there anything more delightful than a tea party?! We had an amazing time with a fabulous group of friends enjoying the most perfect high tea at Calabash Garden Tea Room & Gift Shop! Amid a neighborhood marketplace stands a the most inviting little pink tea house cottage. Offering seating for 28, the warm and cozy cottage not only offers over 70 teas, but also an assortment of hats so that one may have a full T experience! I opted for the rose hibiscus tea, which was simply divine, a warm blend with just the right amount of tartness at the end as well as the strawberry soup… which can only be described as perfection in a bowl. Following our salads, we are presented with a beautiful, three tiered extravaganza of delights ranging from cucumber, finger sandwiches to sweet delicacies, as well as the most delicious scone I’ve ever eaten complete with lemon curd and Devonshire cream. The tea room is run by a wonderful woman of quiet, refined class, who worked tirelessly to make sure we had the fullest experience! I would recommend this experience to everyone and cannot wait to enjoy it again!

Amazing first time experience with girlfriends. Everything was explained by our server to ensure we all enjoyed our lunch at the tea room. The finger sandwiches and deserts were fabulous!

My wife and I have been to many tea rooms around the country, and this is a new favorite for us. One of the things that we judge a tea room on is their scones, and these were our second favorite of all that we have tasted. We also look for a variety of tea selections, and there were many to choose from here. The food was creative and delicious. Our server, Amanda, was first class amazing. She helped us make tea selections based on the flavor preferences that we gave her.

My husband and I went here for my birthday treat last weekend. We both had such a great time. He was a little nervous about it at first but was the first to say we gotta come back…and we will!! We had the caramel vanilla cake tea and the Paris tea. Both I highly recommend! Start with Paris for the sandwiches and the “cake” tea for the dessert portion as you work your way up the tier tray. Wonderful experience!!

Beautiful little gem in Calabash, set amongst other charming shops on business 17. Lovely decor, welcoming hosts, and the food is outstanding. They have an incredible selection of teas, which are delicious. They have many tea-related items for sale, as well as their own tea blends.
Went with my bestie for a fun Saturday adventure and we will definitely be back regularly. It’s worth the drive wherever you are.

This fabulous & enchanting cottage wisks you away to another land & time for a true English tea party. Over 70 options of tea to choose from and presented in true tiered fashion would make neighbors across the pond jealous. Decorated to the “T” and more hats & boas in the back for dress up options for even the most grown children in all of us. Truly elegant & DELICIOUS recipes

We celebrated a birthday here. She turned 20 and never had a tea party; this was her first one and she loved it.
D’nette (sp) was our server. She was patient and generous with her attention to us.
We had the ultimate tea. It was about $40 per person. They ask for you to pay in cash.
Making a reservation was easy.
There are hats in the powder room to borrow for your tea. There are hats and teas to purchase, too.
We had Florence tea (yum! )
Valentine tea (great)
Chocolate mint…seriously just like an andes candy. Strong mint.
Vanilla caramel…tasted like birthday cake, it may have been the sugar added.
We had salad, petite finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. Extra for soup.
This definitely is a place to go for a special occasion. Good for grown-ups and good for young ‘ens.

This is must to do with girls or your daughters. We really enjoyed our time there and the tea and the scones, tea sandwiches were amazing.
The only thing that was a downer was if you have a 10 year old child they will be charged the adult price. We took our daughters and my daughter is 10 and my family members daughter is 8 and received her plate with all the fun sandwiches and treats a child would like.
And, my 10 year was a little disappointed because she had the adult food items.
My daughter did enjoy the dill sandwich, chocolate cover strawberries and blueberry Skewers. And, I gave her my portions to enjoy. I did inform my server which was very nice about the age limit that they have for their children’s plate.
And that my daughter really wanted a child plater instead of the adult plate. I really hope the owners put that into consideration going forward. Because most 10 yr olds will want a fun child plate instead of the adult plate. And, in despite of that we all had a fabulous time.

Came to the area on my birthday and had the good luck of getting in for their last seating time! They welcomed me warmly and gave me some info on what I was being served. They were sweet enough to sing me Happy Birthday and put a candle on one of the desserts! Will definitely come again. Thank you Kathy and Danette.
