Historic Grounds never disappoints! Joe and Jamie, the owners are amazing people and can make you and drink you desire. I like to try something different every now and then, and Joe knows how to whip up just the right concoction. My favorites so far are Vietnamese coffee, cold foam with purple ube and the popcorn latte. You can’t go wrong with a cold brew or cortado either! Absolutely love this family-owned, local business.

Absolutely outstanding coffee experience! The lattes were incredibly smooth with delicious, well-balanced flavor, and the barista clearly knew their craft!! She offered spot-on flavor recommendations that did not disappoint.
We came for breakfast and literally came back the same day in the afternoon because it was that good. The staff was unbelievably friendly and even remembered us and our order. That kind of hospitality is rare and so appreciated. Top-tier coffee shop experience! If you appreciate delicious, well crafted espresso drinks, Historic Grounds does not disappoint!

Coffee is always delicious and there are lots of fun flavors to choose from! I Love that they use locally roasted coffee and local bakeries for their pastry options. There is also a good selection of drinks to choose from if you aren’t someone who likes coffee. Their iced matcha and salted caramel cold brew are my favorites! The decor makes the shop feel so cozy and is the perfect place to sit and spend time with friends. Historic Grounds is a true family owned business and you can tell that they love their shop and serving their community.

Super cute spot with great coffee and matcha! I love getting the iced matcha with cold foam. Or if you’re in the mood for a latte…. the mochas, vietnamese, and pound cake latte’s are to die for. There is an array of flavors that you can choose from that can truly make your own unique drink. Not only is the coffee just amazing, but so is the cozy home feeling to it. This is definitely a one of a kind experience if you’re visiting in Beaufort NC, or if you’re from the area. Customer service is something I️ always take into consideration and the people here are just so lovely. Amazing owners who make everyone feel at home in the historic grounds, happened upon it three years ago and never left.

We get our freshly brewed espresso beans from here . It has been the best fresh beans we’ve had in this area. The customer service is incredible and they pay attention to details like no other ! Every time we go its like a personalized visit with ease. The bakery items are delicious and my personal favorite is the scones. The Barista’s are creative and perfectly experimental. They ACE it everytime ! I wish I could give it 6 stars.

Historic Grounds is the best coffee shop I’ve tried in Beaufort and the surrounding areas. My wife and I vacation to the area frequently and just discovered Historic Grounds on our last trip. The coffee is spectacular with no shortage of options.
I spent a rainy evening in there with a unique combination, an iced pumpkin latte with ube cold foam (which was incredible). Due to the weather my wife and I were able to chat with the owner for several hours about the shop, the area, and a wide plethora of topics.
I recommend stopping here as a high priority if you’re in the area. Great coffee, great atmosphere, and great people making your drink. Thank you Joe and the team you have there for everything you’re doing with Historic Grounds!

My favorite coffee shop in Beaufort. I like ordering from their seasonal drink menu. They’re also known for their flavored cold brews. Everything is fresh and provides a great space to work or chat with friends. The owner, Joe, is super friendly and fun to talk to. I’m definitely going to miss it when I move to Raleigh in August for work 🙁
