Stopped in today, Saturday for lunch during a school sporting event break. Jazz was our friendly server. I liked that their water glasses are so big. No pics but they had a small salad bar; add it as a side to your meal for $2, $6 for one trip or $10 for it as a meal. The environment was comfortable & welcoming. There was a table of four men towards the back, playing cards. My mom opted for the special: ghoulash w a side of mixed vegetables & a warm roll. She said it was good but more warm than hot. I opted for a cheeseburger w pepperjack. I appreciated the side options, none @ an upcharge; waffle fries, crinkle fries, coleslaw, sweet potato fries or mac & cheese. I loved that Jazz brought Andes mints w check!! We dont get to town often but would pop back in if we were and were hungry. Thanks Jazz and BobbyJohns, cheers.

Hands down the best Friday fish in Wisconsin. Sides were great and all homemade. Cook and owner were short handed that day but did a great job. Bloody Mary was best ever. Don’t pass on this gem.

We popped into this establishment for a late lunch as we were passing through Cashton. It was a superb experience – our meals were perfectly prepared with good quality, fresh ingredients and the service was excellent.

You can’t get a more authentic small town diner experience than this! I had the Western burger with fries and a drink. Was perfectly prepared and tasted great! Prices are very reasonable and the staff are on top of things. You can tell this place has the locals stamp of approval when there’s a group of retirees playing cards in the back and you hear the waitress ask “want the usual?”. Will definitely be stopping back the next time I’m through Cashton.

Their burgers and bar fries were AMAZING! Not only was the food perfectly cooked, it was such a friendly and inviting atmosphere. The owner and bartender both took the time to talk to us and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be coming back often. It was such a great experience!!

We drove 20 minutes one way to support this local business. We won’t be back. Despite the manager/ owner/unsure but seemed in charge, saying “we are the only place open and if I would’ve known I would’ve staffed it better”, that is not the reason we had such a poor experience. For one they were not the only place open. We drove past many other open restaurants and intentionally came here to try them out as we knew they were a new business. Second, w were one of 2 tables ordering food. There was a woman behind the bar, also taking orders, a cook, and then this manager guy. It was not busy. The other table had already ordered. They did seem annoyed and now we know why. They had waited almost an hour for their food. We also ended up having to wait over an hour for a very simple order. The manager guy was doing more talking than anything. He didn’t do anything to help. He kept leaving for long periods, I assume to deliver food? I don’t know why. The poor woman did everything she could and she was the only saving Grace. I assume the cook is new and has no idea what they are doing which is why it was insanely slow. When I asked where the food was, manager guy had nothing but excuses and did not apologize. We ordered 3 cheeseburgers and a BLT. They are supposedly a burger bar. The burgers were AWFUL! My entire family felt sick after. My BLT was fine but those are hard to mess up which is why I ordered it. This bad food, combined with an insanely long wait, and there being a table full of old men drinking and swearing loudly while my 2 young daughters were nearby, means we will never return.
