I drove from Dunfermline to find a restaurant where i could sit and enjoy a beautiful meal. I was very fortunate to find Peony Inn. From the outside, it looks like a takeaway but as soon as you open the doors it opens to amazing sights a comfortable surroundings. I was swiftly shown to my seat and provided with a large menu to select from. I ordered the Spare ribs with Peaking sauce and crispy seaweed for starters and special fried rice. I had to wait about 5 minutes for my starters. The presentation of the food was lovely and so was the meal itself. The food was well-cooked and tasty. Shortly after finishing my starter my Special fried rice came. I couldn’t believe my eyes I think they gave me the extra Special fried rice. The platter was very large, enough for tea people, lucky I was hungry. The sauce and the food were amazing all in all I highly rate Peony Inn and if you’re passing, make sure to stop and enjoy the hospitality and amazing food.

Not normally one for leaving reviews but me and my family were absolutely delighted with the service and quality of food from the Peony Inn! We done things a little differently with Christmas dinner last year…. Decided to get a takeaway for a change, the food arrived hot, bang on time for the time slot we selected and the portions were massive! Extremely generous and worth every penny. Highly highly recommend. Thanks again to the Peony Inn team!

Time a couple of weeks ago and have since ordered another 2 times! The food is absolutely delicious – the best Chinese I can remember having! It is always piping hot when it is delivered too which is even better! The peony inn is a great find and highly reccomend! We are hoping to sit in the restaurant next time! 10/10!

A hidden gem. Driven past many, many times, but we’ve never been in – until now. Great food. It is really nicely decorated inside. Friendly staff and good service. They clearly do take out too, so we will be ordering from there in the future, too.

Driving past late evening and decided to order takeaway. Friendly staff, quick service and generous portions. Very good fresh food. I will order from here again. Inside was nicely decorated but quiet atmosphere as it was almost closing time. Looks like a nice relaxing place to sit in.

Food ordered arrived yesterday as scheduled. But unfortunately our chicken in batter was extremely over cooked to the point they were black. Thrown in the bin. Shouldn’t have been sent out like that. Contacted restaurant, not for refund as won’t be ordering again but just for a response. None given. Very poor service.

Ordered at 5.45, advised 6.45 for delivery. Chased at 7.15. Food arrived at 7.55 (after being told at 7.15 food had JUST LEFT!?!). Food was lukewarm and average. 2nd time ordering after delivery was terrible last time but wanted to give another try. They aren’t getting a 3rd.

My wife and I had a meal in the restaurant one evening just for a change, rather than simply ordering a takeout for collection or delivery. We both liked the extra choice you get in terms of menu items when you order as a sit in. There are also plenty of vegetarian options. It was a Wednesday evening and the place was empty! We pretty much had the whole restaurant to ourselves. We got excellent service from the friendly staff and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals in a quiet, calming atmosphere. We ordered a bottle of house Prosecco, starters, mains, and some of the delicious desserts and it came to around £68. I have to say that the food is tastier when it is served at a table, freshly cooked with the tea light food warmer to keep things hot.
