Great place. Walked in during a quiet evening a few days before Christmas and found the owners hanging out. Got some great vegan chili (I’m not vegan; you won’t miss the meat!). My kid looooved their grilled cheese. As a bonus they brought us a cup of their lasagna soup to try (also amazing!) and then a homemade chocolate crinkle cookie.

It’s hard to find truly homemade, nutritious food around a tourist spot like pismo. This place hits it. Friendly people, wholesome food!

We were searching for clam chowder in Pismo and found no clam chowder here. What we found was better!
If you love mushrooms, the mushroom soup will make you shake and sigh, “SO good!”.
The owner is super nice and goes the extra mile for his sourdough bread. Hes hot a bacon relish that is a nice touch. He takes great pride in his starter which if you know needs to be fed. Ask what he does when he goes on vacation.
The sandwich was great and the patio in the back should not be missed.

Customer service is 2nd to none. Very friendly, super clean place, sandwiches made with gloves. Couldn’t ask for anything else.

805 club is very good and filling. Pretty big sandwich.
The gobbler on fire is very tasty. Perfect amount of spice. Tons of flavor.
The bread is made fresh daily and shows. Very good.
If your a pickle fan, don’t miss the opportunity to try one one. Very tasty.
Macaroni was very good. Tangy was different and goes very well.
The family won’t stop talking about how good the bread is.

Thanks for the awesome food.

If you are a foodie, then you should certainly check out this place! Bobbie is great! I found out about this sandwich/bread shop and am so glad I did! It is one of those LOCAL treats that you may pass by if you did not look for it, I know I did until I heard about it!
What a treat! First of all the BREAD YUUUUUUUMMM! Second of all the Sandwich I tried was so amazing! It was the Gobbler on Fire!
I asked Bobbie to not put too much of the spice on it and also had him go light on the pickled red onions (I almost had no pickled red onions, however that would have been a mistake, glad I did have them) and the sandwich was AWESOME! So much flavor and Bobbie makes all the bread and also the bacon jam!

There is not any inside seating so just be aware which is the reason for the 4 I gave for atmosphere. This was the only thing for me that could be a potential improvement.

I will be honest, I thought I could make this at home and even bought some Bacon jam and am not even CLOSE.
A day before I went to a DIFFERENT sandwich shop in the same town. That shop charged more and I actually threw that sandwich away because it had no flavor. Rising Buns put them to shame!!!

If you want an amazing sandwich that offers a good portion size, lots of flavor and is FRESH, this is a great place to check out!
I know I will be back!

Honestly, one of the best places to eat in Pismo. The bread is fantastic. We’ve had the French dip, barbecue, pulled pork, chili, and soup of the day multiple times. It has been amazing each and every time.

This place should be called Two Sweet Dudes. Owned by two cousins and you can tell they work so well together and enjoy each others company. They are actually getting my first ever review.

I’m an out-of-towner that stumbled across this place on Thanksgiving morning and it gave me that easygoing experience I was hoping for. Had a super lackluster experience with a tourist trap clam chowder (baby food texture, more cream than anything) and had a fully redeemed experience at this place. Got a little sample and YUMMMM. Properly chunky and every ingredient in it just the right amount. PSA: THIS IS WHERE YOU SHOULD GO FOR CLAM CHOWDER.

Ordered the pulled pork chili w/ fresh baked sourdough to go and ate it the next day and man, so smokey and good, and very filling! Perfect beans to meat ratio :chefs kiss:

I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. Thanks guys!

A must when in Pismo. Owner is super nice. All the bread is amazing! It is baked fresh, and you can taste the care the owner puts in to it with every bite. The meat is good quality as well, and sliced fresh per order. The condiment choices the owner has given, compliment each the sandwich perfectly. Even the simple grilled cheese on home made sourdough was delicious. My daughter ordered it our first day in Pismo, and asked for it again the next day as well. If I lived in Pismo, I would definitely be a regular. Cannot wait to come back. Also, take time to enjoy your sandwich on the patio in the back. It is adorable.

Just enjoyed the pulled pork melt. Lots of meat and wonderfully toasted. Also a fan of the tomato bisque soup. The handmade, fresh (and warm) sourdough bread is also amazing (get in early to enjoy, since it usually sells pretty fast). Chef, Bobby Lynch, is a gourmet professional and incredibly nice. Service is always excellent. This is my go-to place in Pismo.

Seriously good sourdough. Soft, chewy inside and a crunchy crust. Perfect vegan chili, lots and lots of beans and tomatoes. Gobbler on fire was packed with flavor and juicy turkey. Very personable and informative staff with an obvious love of what they do. My son is stoked that he bought a loaf of sourdough to go.
