Imagine this, being tiered and hungry on a long layover and looking for a Vega option only to stumble upon warm hearty flavourful meal that just hits the spot.
Yes it was the only vegan option but it was there and clearly labelled and advertised on the menu and at the front of the window. Very thoughtful.
The garden box had extra firm tofu cubes, pickles, shallots, broccoli, bean sprouts, and a delicious Vietnamese curry soaked rise. It was filling and fulfilling.

Gluten-free restaurant with delicious Asian cuisine. Every time I have a layover that allows it, I’ve sought this restaurant out. And every single item on the menu is gluten-free. That includes the decadent chocolate chip cookies.
The location is pretty quiet, too. It’s near the end of the G gates, which already feel separate from the rest of the airport. Make sure to allow extra time for the walk. But the service is quick and friendly. Definitely the best gluten free option at SFO.

My friends and I spotted this restaurant near our terminal and decided to stop by because the menu caught our eye. There were two ways to order: using the kiosks hidden on the left side of the entrance or at the front counter. My friends ordered at the counter, while I used the kiosk to browse the pictures and read the ingredients.
I ordered the Vietnamese hot chicken, and my friends got the chicken and veggie green curry and the brunch box. Although we all placed our orders around the same time, it took twice as long for me to receive my food. The restaurant itself has very limited seating, but there is an open dining area outside.
Overall thoughts:
– **Vietnamese hot chicken:** The chicken was tender, and the spice was flavorful, not just spicy. The box looked small, but the portion was decent. 7.2/10
– **Service:** It was odd that kiosk orders took significantly longer than counter orders. I don’t blame the staff; it seemed like the machine took a while to send the order to the kitchen.

I am always happy to find vegan options at the airport, but delicious meals are even better. I got the Garden Box with no changes, and I loved it. My only complaint is that it was so much food that I couldn’t eat it in one meal, and I didn’t have enough free hands to carry the leftovers on the plane.
Also, it did take a while to get my food because they had to restock one of the veggies. It wasn’t a problem for me because my layover was 2 1/2 hours, but if I was in a hurry I might have had to ask them to leave it out.

Looking for some Asian food at SFO near G gates? This place is the bomb! Did I just say that at the airport? I mean this place is . Food is so good, locally sourced ingredients, healthy portions and delicious all in compostable packaging. I got the Vietnamese Hot Chicken with an additional side of steamed broccoli. Delicious! She got the chicken and veggie green curry, fresh and satisfying. Thank you for the great food , atmosphere and service. I’d go here just for the food if I wasn’t flying. Keep up the awesome work! Can order from the counter or the kiosks.

Good Vietnamese curry, light and flavorful. It was a nice surprise to find inside the San Francisco airport. They had a wonderful veggie selection, free of fish sauce. I had green curry. The people here are nice and courteous, also quick to help. I not only enjoyed the food here, but also the experience. The only issue I had was that they have sorting bins in the back, but food items were disposed of in the wrong bins.

They have friendly employees working here—also, a pretty good selection for a location inside the airport. The iced Vietnamese coffee is okay. Not as strong as the Vietnamese restaurants. The food tasted good too! This is not a bad choice inside any airport terminals.

Three years ago I had Asian Box in Campbell and promised to never to do it again. However, there wasn’t much choice at the airport so I thought I’d give Asian Box another chance. I ordered Tofu with Broccoli, Herbs, Sprouts on 1/2 Asian Salad, 1/2 Brown Rice with Green Curry. Fortunately, it was better than last time. The rice was cooked properly this time and the green curry had some flavor. However, it was still underwhelming and for $24 that’s a bit of a disappointment. Fortunately, it was still better than the food on the plane.

Think outside this box. Vietnamese food is known for its fresh sparkling flavors that make your mouth water. Fish sauce, sugar. Vinegar, chilli, cilantro, fresh green onions are in almost every dish. I ordered a breakfast wrap. Under salted eggs, flavorless meat with white rice wrapped in a fried rice paper that disintegrates as soon as you pour the poor excuse for a sauce (tasted like watery chilli paste) that comes with it. Bland and certainly not Vietnamese. Don’t waste your money here.

Good food, very reasonably priced especially for airport food. The portions are big and the waittime is short.
Staff was very kind and helpful when I asked for a cup of ice for my headache and even gave it to me for free, even tho I did not place an order at this visit.
