Cute spot with a delicious chicken salad sandwich. The staff was friendly and it was pretty bustling on a Wednesday during lunch. Most people were in for take out but there’s nice seating in and out of the shop.
The prices were a bit high in my opinion, especially for the coffees. For two people to have the chicken salad sandwich and coffee with oat milk and vanilla flavoring, the bill was over $40. The vanilla didn’t particularly come through that well so it seemed like a waste of the $2 upcharge. There aren’t prices on the chalkboard menu either so it’s a bit of a surprise when the total is being calculated.
I wish I would have seen the drink cooler off to the side, I would have liked to try the lemonade. I thought they only had coffee or tea for their beverage options.
Overall, it was a good experience so I would enjoy returning for another visit.

I now live out of state & am no longer able to enjoy this gem like before, but recently purchased a gift card to be sent digitally to a friend. Well, there was a technical glitch and the gift card was not initially received. I notified the manager and was in direct contact with Maureen, the owner, the very next day who went out of her way to make sure the gift card was resent & received. To top it off, she even added a little extra credit to the gift card, adding in the usual generosity and sincerity that makes Dunning’s Market stand above all others. So grateful for Maureen and Dunning’s Market for consistently going out of the way to be amazing!

It was my first time here. I had the jerk chicken burger. You have to tell them the toppings you want on the burger. I didn’t know this so my burger consisted of a patty, sauce, on pretzel bread. The patty is tasty. I wish it came pre-made with lettuce and tomatoes. The wait was long because there were only two workers. They had free dessert samples that were really good. I have to come back and buy their desserts.

Top quality, well prepared food in generous portions. The Thanksgiving Dinner was excellent. The store stocks many unique, hard to find food related items. The owner always makes you feel like a valued customer. One of the highlights of downtown Flossmoor. Highly recommended!

It was very disappointing to unpack my lunch to find burnt and overcooked salmon in my salad and on the sandwich. I’ve purchased the fresh Scottish salmon salads dozens of times, but this might be my last.
Not only was the salmon overcooked and burnt, the portion was reduced. It appeared as if someone attempted to hide the burnt underside of the salmon, by removing it altogether.
I also ordered soup, which was not heated before selling.
I really enjoyed ordering from Dunning’s, and have often treated friends, family and colleagues to the salmon salad, in particular. Today, however, was unacceptable!

We waited for several minutes with employees milling around behind the counter ignoring me. Someone finally came up and asked me “What do you want?” I said I was looking to order a sandwich, and they said that the deli was closed and they were only doing catering. There was nothing to indicate this in the store or on the website, and the employees all acted like we were a bunch of idiots for wanting to order food.

Very nice place, maybe even nicer than the Cherry Creek location. I ordered two sandwiches today, a corn beef sandwich and an Italian Grilled vegetable sandwich. Both were deliciously excellent. The corn beef sandwich was just tasty with the sourdough bread since rye wasn’t available. The grilled vegetable was fantastic but I do remember it being a little bigger bread wise with more vegetables to the sandwich. I’m already planning my next visit with my wife accompanying me since I’m always talking about Dunnings Market. Thank you to everyone.

Cool little spot with an interesting menu of assortment choices that’s worth checking out. I went with the Ultimate Rueben Sandwich. When I heard ultimate I was expecting more meat or a larger two-hand type of sandwich I got neither . The Sandwich was good thou not gonna lie….just for the price wish it was bigger. Overall it’s cool, the customer service was nice and all the food are made when ordered so your wait time will be a nice little minute too. I’ll be back to check on a few other items I saw on the menu. 7.8
