Red sauces very good. White sauces very heavy on butter and oil. Bread was delicious, they have a large wine selection, and the owner is very friendly. Five of us ate for under $120 including one glass of wine. Tip was extra.

Not what it used to be! When Joe’s first opened it was my favorite Italian in Fort Smith. After a recent visit, I will not go back. Portions used to be the hearty size you expect from a good Italian restaurant and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The new location is much more sterile and just typical restaurant. We had to ask for our bread and dipping sauce to be brought out. I ordered the pasta sampler which in the past would have been a very large plate. It was served in a small boat you would expect a dip or appetizer to be served in. I was so shocked at first I thought it might just be the lasagna portion. But alas, it was all 3 in tiny amounts. The manicotti portion was tiny and the pasta was overcooked and somewhat mushy. Overall, I was very disappointed in this decline in what I would have called a Fort Smith classic.

I’ve known the owner for a long time. Anytime i eat here, it’s always great food. I always make sure my customers go to eat here, too because it’s hard to pass up good quality Italian food.

The bread and oil . The calamari was the best I’ve had. Our entrees looked so delicious that I forgot to take pictures. My husband had the shrimp and crab Alfredo. I had the chicken creamora. Both were wonderful. The portions were huge. We both have enough leftover for two meals tomorrow. Great service!

Visited here on Saturday night. I got the manicotti and husband the chicken parmesan. I always have high hopes for manicotti and it passed with flying colors! Delicious! The bread oil was insanely good too!

The only reason the food didn’t get five stars is the Alfredo sauce was a bit bland. The noodles and chicken were great. The sauce just needs a little more flavor.

The food was just awful… the bruschetta had onions in it. That’s not how you make bruschetta. It calls for garlic not ever onions. There was no flavor in our food, we had to add salt and a lot of cheese to our pasta dishes. My chicken was so tough I couldn’t even use a butter knife to cut it. We both felt sick after eating here. Super disappointed and won’t be returning. Honestly Olive Garden has more flavor will not be returning. As you can see from my photo they put onions on the bruschetta and that’s pretty much salsa. This was NOT worth what we paid, please do your research and don’t do what we did.

I’ve tried many Italian restaurants. Joes is by far the best! Todd is a very good waiter who takes very good care of his customers. The only thing I didn’t like was joes wife who looked like she was mean mugging me. Very rude! Over all I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know!

The last time I ate there I had the seafood combo- the shrimp was gritty. When I told the waitress it was gritty she took it, came back to apologize for the chef, and then proceeded to patronize me as if I didn’t know what I had ordered (seafood shouldn’t ever taste gritty). I lifted up a mussel that had not been debearded to show the waitress and I still could not get the manager’s attention and had to pay for the awful food that I ate six bites out of. What’s worse is, a few hours after eating there, I began cramping and throwing up. You couldn’t pay me to eat there again.
