Great seafood restaurant with wild range of offering AND Taco Tuesday special (I mean who doesn’t love a good Taco Tuesday?).
Atmosphere – 10/10
Modern. Have both indoor, outdoor seating area and a bar. Functional and nothing crazy.
Service – 12/10
We (group of 4) came in on late Tuesday afternoon (around 4 PM), so the restaurant was not packed but have fair amount of people there already. Everyone from host, to waitress were super attentive and accomondating. Our friend brought their puppies in carry bags, and one of the waiter saw that and immediately ask if we would like to turn the outdoor heater on so the pups don’t get cold – we were the only group sitting outside that day due to how windy it was.
Food – 10/10
Great quality and quantity. Taco Tuesday made the taco orders a great deal. And if you come early (before 6), you also get to enjoy $5 magarita, which was ON POINT! Strawberry and lime magarita were our favor. Oysters are really fresh, and definately worth a try. We basically ordered the entire taco menu, the only taco that missed the mark (slightly) was the the kickin’ shrimp taco. Two of our shrimp taco came in so deep fried, we thought we got the wrong order. The 3rd one was perfectly fine, flashed fried, and not hard to dig in. Weird experience since they are all on the same order, and surprised they came out inconsistent.

Went in for a lunch date with hubby. I had the apricot chicken which was delicious but it a tough to cut (glaze had made the outside of the chicken hard) but the veggies were perfectly cooked. My husband had the IPA tacos. They were good. Fish was cooked perfectly. But i wish it had some filling in the tacos. It was just lettuce and the fish. We also had the bakes oysters they were tasty.
Overall a good experience. Will definitely recommend

We arrived early, at 4:30, due to the nursery. The bar is busy, but the restaurant is empty. Both house wines are excellent, especially served in Reserve by Libbey. The food is rather bland, but I’m very glad to see the teardrop peppers (also known as Sweety Drops or Biquinho peppers – Amazon), which I’ve had a lot of in Greece recently.
The lighthouse painting is classy. They’ve Peking Duck Wing – didn’t try becasue it has teriyaki sauce.

Tribe dinner tonight! This was my first time at Coast Seafood Grill and it did not disappoint! We all shared the pub pretzels and buffalo cauliflower-great appetizers! I really enjoyed the salmon with couscous and veggies. If you want the bread pudding you have to put a request in early-so you better believe we did and half of us shared 2 of them!! It was ah-mazing!! They seated us back in the corner which gave us our own space! The location of the restaurant is a little hidden off of Manatee Ave W but you should put it on your list to try! It was a fun nights with lots of laughs!

We had an amazing dinner at Coast! Maddy was our server and, believe it or not, it was her first day—but you’d never know it. She was an absolute pro: friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. She answered all of our questions about the menu and even got quick answers from the bar about their vodka and rum selections. We had a vodka cranberry and a pineapple rum drink, both perfectly poured.
As for the food—wow. We’re locals and have eaten just about everywhere on and off the island, and Coast easily stands out as one of the top 5 restaurants in all of Manatee County. Their food absolutely destroys the typical island tourist traps. We ordered the Coast Bread, calamari, Coast Wedge Salad, and the Lobster Mac—and every dish was spot on.
We wrapped things up with their Key Lime Pie, and once again, Maddy came through with all the details we asked for before ordering. She truly made the night great. Top-shelf service and a fantastic dining experience all around. We’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I had an outstanding experience at Coast Seafood Grill. The staff was very friendly and seated us right away. The restaurant is clean, inviting, and tastefully decorated. Every element of the meal was excellent. We had a rum runner, a house margarita, the grouper tacos, a grouper sandwich, and an order of key lime pie. Everything was delicious and well presented. If we lived closer, we would be back often. I highly recommend trying here!

Our server notified the kitchen manager and front of house manager of our cold food and fishy not fresh local grouper. When she returned to our table we were told the Grouper meal was comped but we were charged for scallops because she ate most of them. No problem. We did not expect a free meal. Just informing them that our meals came out of the kitchen cold. There were only about ten tables in the house. New Year’s Eve.
No reason for cold food

Neither manager made a table visit.

What a great experience for our 1st time at Coast Seafood. Branden was a perfect server all the food came out in a timely manor it was hot and delicious. We are looking forward to returning very soon. We love the nice clean and bright decor as much as the good goodand service.
