An amazing find in Bedford! We were in town for the weekend and had 3 meals here the food was so good. The bartenders and wait staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. We ate a few other places and kept coming back to here. Their wings are delicious. Burgers fabulous. Can’t say enough good things about them. Lacy is also so nice and made sure our visits there were perfect. Highly recommend if you are in the area! And don’t sleep on the nachos or the brisket. Both are delicious. Thanks! Lexi & Mike

Established in 2024 this locally owned and operated establishment is a perfect stop for a variety of food and beverage offerings.
The vibe has a very friendly local feel to it and includes a bar area equipped with multiple monitors, as well as an additional room with a pool table and more seating.
If weather allows there is also outdoor seating overlooking the Juniata river.
Food selection is very wide. Reference attached photos.
Most selections are prepared from scratch in house. Daily specails are also offered. The chicken wings are complete two-part wings and are massive! All sauces are prepared on-premise. French fries are very nice size and are hand-cut and fried on site.
Establishment is very clean.
Ownership is fully engaged in the operation and to ensuring customer satisfaction.
Friendly helpful staff.
Be sure to check web site for days and hours of operation as seasonally they may change.
Also during Summer months, live music is offered on occasion.
Conveniently located less than 10 minutes off of I-76 and I-99

Whisky River in Bedford is an absolute gem. Amazing cocktails (the smoked Old Fashioned and Blackberry Whiskey Sour were ), and the food was even better. Full wings, extra crispy, honey BBQ mixed with hot sauce—don’t skip them. Brisket sandwich and homemade chips were on point too.
You can tell the owners (Seth was one did not know mom’s name,) put their heart and soul into this place. If you are in Bedfod local or visiting, this is a must stop. Well done

Stopped here on the way to PGH and it did not disappoint. Live music, delicious old fashioned, and a fish sandwich so big that I had to eat it like a piece of pizza. We will be back every time!!

I had the Pittsburgh salad with what had to be homemade bleu cheese and husband had the Cubano. Both were decent sized portions with fresh ingredients. The Cubano was filled with delicious ham and nicely seasoned pork. Easily ranks as the best Cubano ever served to us in a restaurant. Price was very reasonable. Looking forward to eating here again when we are in Bedford!!!

We love this new pub in Bedford. The cocktails were great. Wonderful service and fun atmosphere. Higher quality menu items. Not prepackaged food. They seem to be fans of Star Wars and the Grateful Dead based on the decor.

If you are looking for a spot with authentic American character, The Whiskey River Pub in Bedford is a must-visit. We stopped by for dinner, and I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and welcoming—it truly captures that charming small-town vibe. Its location on East Pitt Street is very convenient with accessible parking nearby. The service was absolutely top-notch; the staff was attentive, fast, and genuinely friendly. The food was delicious with generous portions, and the drink selection would impress any connoisseur. It is a true hidden gem and the perfect place to unwind after exploring the town.

Great reason to hop off the turnpike, or simply take the back roads in general, and head into Bedford. Feels like a fun independent pub like you’d find in a major city, but with small town charm (just don’t block the neighbor’s drive way!)
Surprisingly large drink menu, and I liked the wood exterior of said menu. Although I would have liked some guidance in the beer list as to if something was local (maybe I missed it?) the variety of martinis was impressive, as was the liquor selection. I ordered something called a “Paper Plane” which is supposedly out of Chicago. New to me, tasted very refreshing, enjoyed the Blackberries.
The Reuben was quite good, very much enjoyed it. Maybe a little light on the 1000 Island Dressing, but that’s certainly better than drowning it, and every other aspect was on point. Ordered the Onion Rings with it, good pick, and was impressed by the variety of sides.
Service: Very friendly and attentive.
