Everything was so great! You can either order at the counter to-go, or wait to be seated. I had already had my morning coffee at the farmers market so I decided to try their matcha specialty. The Wild Bloom was so tasty with the berry components added–so summery, but somehow not too sweet! We got the breakfast burger and avocado toast. So delicious!!! All of the flavors complemented each other so perfectly. The only thing that slightly bothered me was how difficult it was to cut the toast. I would have eaten it with my hands but it was covered in balsamic glaze. I would just suggest serving it with it’s own special knife in the future. The food also took awhile to come out but it was totally worth the wait! This is in the old St. Kilda location so it was nice to see some familiar décor inside. Very beautiful, and welcoming. Brilliant seating layout.

I lived in Melbourne, Australia. So, naturally, when I saw St. Kilda, I wanted to check it out and have a taste of my 2nd home.

Some of the menu items were very Aussie, fresh food items very reminiscent of a day on the beach in St. Kilda, all the way down to the water with no ice.

The food was excellent: breakfast tacos. The chai latte with oat milk was superb. Not too sweet perfection. I didn’t receive my chai latte until after my food came. I was under the impression my drink order was forgotten about. The service was lacking, unfortunately. Many of the girls just standing around looking lost. I had to ask for a water refill twice.

So, if you want a good breakfast and don’t mind mediocre service, this is a great place to check out. Unfortunately, they only had one pastry left and had run out by 11:30am.

Wife and I did brunch here today. Ordered the steak bowl and breakfast sandwich. Steak was very tender in the bowl. Breakfast sandwich had plenty of meat and toppings. Hashbrown sticks are nice and crunchy on the outside. Very chill spot, pretty quiet if you’d like to have a conversation. Specialty coffee’s were very good as well.

Great atmosphere, overly expensive food and in no way a bakery. We saw them carrying the baked goods in from outside the cafe. Service tried to be good but forgot we existed half way through the meal. My breakfast sandwich had one sausage cut in half and the hash browns are horrible. But if you just want an expensive coffee then the atmosphere is great.

Moral of the story: you could get better quality food somewhere else with much better service.

Sadly, wasn’t impressed with St. Kilda. I’d been looking forward to visiting and had only heard good things, but was disappointed by both the service and the quality of the food for the price.

Firstly, the service was not pleasant. In fact, I’d say it was downright bad. Weird mean girl energy coming from the staff. It was not friendly or welcoming at all. That alone will keep me from coming back.

The location itself was nice and clean. I thought the design inside was cute and trendy.

The food and coffee was fine, but not good enough to justify the price. For two drinks and two food items, it was $39.

This place is delicious!!! It’s always a challenge to find a place with good coffee and good food place but this honestly has both!

Was drawn to see some of the lattes but they have improved a lot more!

Stopped in for breakfast and it was delicious and felt very light.

(Portion looks a bit smaller in the picture but it was enough for one person and felt full)

Definitely would come back!

If I could go here for breakfast everyday, I certainly would. Fantastic presentation and attention to detail. Everything was prepared perfectly and the modern vibe is something refreshing. They are not afraid to be bold and provide a European-like vibe.

Don’t miss out on ordering the off-menu pastries for desert!

We’ll be going again for sure.

Edit: My most recent trip was very nice! Just be warned the space is quite loud when tables are full.

Very tasty chai latte, not too hot to drink, and nice toast with smoked salmon, etc. The cafe is pretty and minimalistic but voices carry so it’s kinda loud. And though I liked what I had, the smashed peas were a bit simple considering how many I received. The breakfasts I saw my neighbors eating smelled super good! Would go back to try other dishes.

The staff were doing a good job, especially with how busy it was. My friend ended up not being able to meet me, so I asked for my food to go so as not to hog the table. (A line of couples were waiting for one to open up.) The staff got my food and ticket out to me quickly! Hope the rest of the day went smoothly.

We stopped in for brunch on a Tuesday. It was fairly empty when we arrived and we got to pick our seats. They definitely keep it cold inside. The inside is very clean and minimal. Service was friendly and we did get water refills timely. The food was good and the ingredients tasted fresh and well-prepared. I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich which had sausage and bacon on it. The hash brown was nice and crispy, good seasoning and just a tiny oily. My husband enjoyed the avocado toast which had lots of toppings. Maybe a tad pricey overall, so I wouldn’t make it a regular breakfast stop, but I’d come back to try some lunch or dinner.
