Located in a small strip mall that’s fast becoming a foodie destination, it’s exciting to find pastry chef Yves François at work here. Paris-born and classically trained in Bordeaux, his French pastry pedigree is obvious the moment you step inside and see the beautifully executed display – the work of a true professional.

I tried the Almond Croissant and loved it. This isn’t the ultra-airy style; instead, it’s more cake-like in the center, with beautifully flaky, crisp layers on the outside. Outstanding.

The chef also mentioned a batch of Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies that had just come out of the oven, and of course I had to grab a bag (3). These were impressive as well — soft and chewy in the middle with crisp edges. I feel like I will enjoy anything I select here.

I really enjoyed meeting the chef and having the chance to talk with him about his craft, as well as chefs we both know in Paris and New York. We’re lucky to have a shop with this level of talent right here in Delray Beach. While there, I also enjoyed seeing the steady stream of repeat customers, to see what their favorites were. As it was morning, croissants were flying out the door.

L’atelier Des Pains is a sanctuary for those who appreciate the artistry of pastry. The chef’s commitment to authenticity is palpable, each creation a loving ode to Parisian tradition. His creativity shines through in every item, from the buttery croissant to the decadent double chocolate croissants. The almond croissant is a masterpiece, a perfect 10 that speaks volumes about the chef’s technique. The pistachio croissants are a delight, their nutty essence beautifully balanced. The kouign amann, though not as large as one might wish, is a sublime experience. Sheer excellence. Its density and caramelization are impeccable, second only to Sucre Table’s in the state. If it were doubled or trippled in size, I would have paid the difference. One can’t help but marvel at the chef’s ability to make each pastry feel substantial and satisfying. Even those that appear smaller weigh enough and carry such hefty density to make you second-guess any pastry you’d ever had. You can tell the quality of the butter by the luscious flavors and immaculate lamination. The chef’s patient kindness is as much a part of the experience as the pastries themselves. It’s a rare joy to find such an authentic Parisian patisserie in South Florida, a true oasis amidst a food desert of ordinary pastries. The expertise and care evident in every bite make this a place to return to again and again. Super excited about finding/manifesting this one.

We recently took a drive from Miami to visit the “Egyptian Pharaohs: From Cheops to Ramses” exhibition at the PBS studios. As we made our way back, we spotted a sign at a nearby shopping mall that piqued our interest, leading us to stop for a little treat. L’atelier Des Pains. What a fantastic decision that was! The treats were absolutely delicious. The highlight, however, was the warm and welcoming service we received from Lisa. Her friendly demeanor and genuine kindness made our visit even more special. My little one was in love. I wish we lived closer! This unexpected stop turned our outing into something memorable, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area or passing through. Don’t miss out!

I sampled the pain au chocolat (absolutely loved it), the pistachio croissant (overly sweet and a bit too artificial for my taste), and some sourdough bread fresh from the oven—fantastic.

A solid pick if you’re in the neighborhood or nearby.

A true French bakery.

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The owner was noticeably rude and unwelcoming, especially toward families with children and the elderly. Hospitality and basic courtesy go a long way, and that was lacking here. The simple issue you may ask? Very hot in this Florida weather NO WIND though he kept stating that was the reason we couldn’t put down the umbrella. I tried to calmly explain about the baby, old folks and he just shut us down and walked into his place.

It’s also worth noting that you share a patio with the neighboring business, yet their staff managed to be professional, kind, and accommodating without any issues. The contrast in service was significant and hard to ignore. You walked away when we were walking, attacked my wife because you saw her facial expression which you claimed were “aggressive”. She wasn’t even looking at you. I could go on, but I won’t bother.

The guests seated next to us shared similar concerns, so this did not seem to be an isolated incident. Losing multiple customers in a single afternoon should be something to reflect on.

**Oh Sir, there is so much more you are leaving out. It was not simply about the umbrellas.
Best to your business.

If you are looking for amazing French deserts, baguettes, sourdough breads i found this place that makes amazing ones from a classically trained baker.
They also have sandwiches, coffee

Mainly just drive up and go, but they have a few seats outside and counter inside.

While the deserts are exceptionally pretty looking, sadly all of our pastries had absorbed the odors of their refrigerators. The Chocolate Eclairs, the Tiramisu that wasn’t very coffee flavoured and a Napoleon, which was the best of a disappointing three all had a stale fridge taste, that was stronger than the chocolate, coffee and cream flavours they should have tasted of, especially the choux pastry on the eclair and the cream in the Napoleon and Tiramisu.

So disappointing after spending $35 on 11/15/25 at 9:40am on four deserts and a chewy baguette. Can’t imagine I’d try them again. I included a photo as proof we did indeed purchase and myself, wife and two kids sampled each item about a hour after purchasing. Looking forward to their condescending response suggesting the customer is ignorant as that seems their modus operandi after scanning through the reviews and seeing I’m not the only client having the same experience.

A hidden gem! The desserts are made from scratch, and the quality is outstanding. Beautifully crafted, delicious, and at such fair prices — truly impressive. Big thanks to Chef Yves for bringing such high-class desserts with warmth and hospitality!

This baker and bakery brought us back to Paris. It’s in a unassuming store front in a small strip just down the road from the Boynton Beach PBS station. We enjoyed a lovely Key Lime Tart topped with a expertly flambed meringue and a flaky, multilayered chocolate croissant! The

This bakery smells amazing when you walk in and the chef is warm and welcoming. 5 stars for the croissant alone because this chef must have a PhD in making them. I’ve had croissants from some of the best bakeries in Palm Beach county and this place might take the crown.
