We are more of a restaurant than bar. We open at 11am for food service and take our last order around 6:50pm. Prefer small groups but up to 8. Larger groups need to call first to check availability with a time slot of 2-3:30pm. We are 1 waitress and 1 cook.

First time there with my wife. We had the fish sandwich, tenderloin sandwich, fried cauliflower, and their own hand battered mushrooms. It was all delicious. Hospitality exceptional. I am definitely going back!

The place looked neat, the first thing that you will notice is a giant sign.saying cash only. The waitress/bartender reminded us 3 times of that as she told us that our group of 6 was the maximum number of people that they could serve at 1 time. Kinda lackadaisical attitude towards us as customers and I got the idea that we were bothering her by coming in. We got our food a piece at a time, with explanation that they have a small frier and couldn’t do everything at the same time. The food was good the atmosphere was dull with the attitude, I may try it again sometime later, maybe things will improve……we will see.

Burgers are huge! Laid back atmosphere, enjoyed watching the St Louis Cardinal game while we were there. Food takes a while but it’s made from scratch. Relaxed and enjoyed their selection of local craft beers.

Always great food. Burgers are my favorite made from fresh, never frozen meat. Large portion sizes. Relaxing atmosphere with booths, tables and bar seating. Dress up or come straight from the lake.

We were passing through town and happened to see a great picture on the website of fish & fries we decided to drop in. The service was great & very friendly! Bathroom was clean & decorated in a very unique & cute way! We’re planning on visiting Carlyle this Summer & now we know where to go for great food & friendly service! Thank you very much!

This was a horrible experience! Walked in was asked how many, and they would not accommodate 6. Was told to “sit wherever you can squeeze in.” A patron dining by himself offered to move to the next table so we could put two tables together. Rude lady said, “we don’t move tables!” Out the door we went. Thought we would enjoy some small town hospitality and some good food. Definitely not here! My advice: pass on this one!
