Never thought I would have gotten such a good meal from such an unassuming place.
A small place? Yes. But the people here are funny, wholesome, caring and cook with wild abandon. My friends and I were in the area and were hungry! We were all surprised to see the Mexican cuisine on the menu and ordered a couple different things off the menu. I got the California burrito and I haven’t had such a delight for a long time. It was so big. And so delicious that couldn’t stop eating well after I was full. The quesadilla was just .
Please pay this place a visit if you’re reading this. It’s worth the stop, it’s worth a hundred stops. I don’t think I’ll stop thinking about how good this burrito was for a long time.

When you want to eat at a hole in a wall for breakfast. Just a regular good country breakfast. This place is a must try. It’s a small mom and pop restaurant. No frills, nothing fancy. But the food is very good. Service is good and the coffee will keep you awake for days. What more could anyone want!?

The service at Country View Cafe is super friendly, warm, and welcoming. Our waitress, Teresa, was so kind and kept us laughing! The food was delicious, like a warm home cooked meal. It was the best start to a day of skiing.

If you are visiting Somerset you need to put this place on your list. Small locally owned restaurant that serves an awesome breakfast for a very affordable price.
Our waitress Dani was so friendly. She even commented on how big their pancakes were so we may not be able to finish a full stack. She was right, we couldn’t even finish the small stack.
Eggs were fresh. Bacon crispy!

Our party of four walked in at 10:15 am to an empty restaurant. Two Spanish-speaking female servers stood near the entrance chatting. One of them told us to sit anywhere. While we sat at a fourtop table, we had time to look at stained ceiling tiles, dusty fixtures, dingy floors, and a plethora of hodgepodge dining chairs. We sat long enough to wonder why no one came with menus or even a welcome or greeting of any kind. Again, we were their only customers. We decided to leave. Walking out made no difference to their customer service. The staff was as indifferent to our exit as they were when we entered. Don’t bother making the drive from the town into the country for this place.

The parking lot has one car parked out front. Not exactly a solid sign. So we Walked into a dead restaurant with 2 Spanish speaking ladies chatting it up in the corner. So our party of 4 were told to seat ourselves. So we did, after 10 minutes of no service at all. We decided to leave. So we got up to get out of there. The sever did have menus in her hand, no clue what she was going to do with those. So we walked out and none cared to stop us or say anything. Totally understand why it was dead in there. Felt like I walked into a saloon with how awkward it was in there. Totally checks out why no one steps foot in that restaurant. Would be better if they just closed it and spared the tiny bit of dignity that’s still left. These are obviously family member reviews because in no case is this a popular joint.

Excellent Mexican burrito and the homemade hot sauce was so good. Food was hot and the server was friendly. The interior is a bit run down but I would definitely return when in the area.

We stopped in on our way out of town, and we’re so glad we did! ‘Trouble’ Theresa was our waitress, and although it was her day off, she had been asked to come in—and thank goodness she did. She was amazing! So friendly, made great conversation, and we even found out she’s from West Virginia like we are. She truly made our visit special.
The food was delicious, the portions were HUGE, and the prices were super reasonable. Trust us—you probably only need one pancake. They’re thick, fluffy, and literally the size of the plate!
We came into town for the Total Archery Challenge at Seven Springs, and we’ll definitely be back every year. Little spots like this are what make these trips memorable—unique, welcoming, and just downright good. Highly recommend!
