It was our first time trying this place, and we were very happy that we did! We got 2 slices…wasn’t expecting great pizza on a slice but wow, so good! I’m an East coast transplant and missed my NY style pizza, but this pizza is now going to be my homesick go to pizza! It was spot on, including an amazing crust, perfect cheese ratio, and the sauce was just perfect.
The service was great, very friendly, and we enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend!!

No doubt one of the better pizzas rather than a chain pizza place. Would definitely go again but parking is a bit difficult. Only negative thing I have to say is the sign by the register that says, “love us? Leave us a Google review. Don’t love us? Leave.”

I’m so confused with the fuss is about La Pizza. Me and a couple friends ordered this tonight and it was really, really bad in general and I can’t believe it cost $35.

We ordered a three topping- pepperoni, jalapeno and pineapple. We had all taken a piece and start eating it before I realized there were two tiny pieces of pineapple per slice and maybe two or three jalapenos if we were lucky, and very sparse pepperoni. I took a picture of what was left. For $35!

Once it got less than hot it tasted very similar to Little Caesars Pizza. Chewy and cardboardy. And I’m pretty sure Little Caesars still puts more toppings than this place does. This was literally a bottom bargain $15 pizza, just $20 more. Just terrible all around. I really don’t get the appeal when there are so many better pizza places around. Hate to leave a bad review, but this was super disappointing.

See if you can count the pineapple from the picture. We counted 8 1/2 pieces on all that was left.

Sauce, cheese and toppings are great. The Pizza overall was solid and one I’d get again. I was hoping they wouldn’t use cheater screens so the Pizza oven deck hits the dough directly, which yields leopard spots..but I get why they do it, makes it easier. That leaves the underside underwhelming though and doesn’t give you a good flop:crispy ratio.

The pizza here is really solid—definitely above average. There are so many options to choose from, which makes it fun to try something new each time. I absolutely love the floor—it adds a unique touch to the place. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I cannot recommend this pizza place enough!

Definitely not your STL style pizza, but that’s okay! Great NY style pizza option. Salad was very good as well. Worth giving them a shot if you’re open-minded about pizza being able to be made in different styles, with different flavors!

They have good pizza. The sauce and the toppings are well balanced and generous. The crust was great on the edges, but lacked in the center. It was good, but not quite done enough for my taste.

The garlic cheese bread was nothing too special (could use a bit more flavor) but the marinara sauce was great.

Loved the chef’s salad. That’s a definite winner.

I would recommend visiting to try when in the downtown Saint Charles location! My boyfriend & I enjoy their pizza as often as possible! Even though we live in Saint Charles; we definitely prefer the drive out to the University City location in all honesty. Even though it’s smaller we love the workers there & it feels like home in the little shop they have

Pros:
-same great pizza recipe it seems & customer service was friendly!
-complementary waters
-fast service bringing out food
Cons:
-no parmesan provided on tables (helps soak up all the grease from the pizza)
-the garlic bread didn’t taste like garlic bread at all more of a basic cheese bread. lacked flavor compared to the home location; was a little disappointing
-initial appearance inside & overwhelming space is different compared to other location

Service is great and many claim that this pizza is similar to NY pizza. Not in the least. Dough is not crispy, cheese is chewy but not stringy and sauce has a lot to be desired. If you’re looking for an average pizza this is it. If you want NY or an outstanding pizza look somewhere else.
