We’re Double Eagle Clubhouse Grille, and we’ve been a bar and grill here in Decatur, IN, since 2009. We’re home to national award-winning BBQ, which we offer during our summer backyard BBQs, and we offer pulled pork daily, wings, beer, spirits, a reception hall, and more. We work in correlation with Cross Creek Golf Course to offer the golfers the best experience with our beer cart. Rushed to order cause cook was leaving except he was still there when we left. The table was extremely dirty and as it was being cleaned things were flung onto me and my friend. Since it was my first time eating there… I was not happy being rushed to eat. Then because I ordered my food a certain way because everyone has their own personal reasons I don’t feel it is an opening for someone who doesn’t know me to make a sarcastic comment when serving my food “here’s your kid tacos”… I am 43 yrs old!!!
Then when I was eating them I wasn’t thrilled at all. I can make better food at home… hell taco bell serves better tacos than what I got. The meat was dry and tasted like seasoning was sprinkled on it. They weren’t even hot. Barely warm. The cheese was the same as you get from a grocery store the finely shredded kind. The cheese was cold and there wasn’t alot of it … so ud think it would of melted somewhat… nope not the case. It tasted like dry left overs. We weren’t cked o. To see how anything was at all! I still included a tip which I highly believe in tipping well but they are lucky I tipped $5.
I paid $30 for 3 worst tacos I’ve even eaten, an ice water, a chef salad, and diet coke before a including $5.
For a first visit and impression… It doesn’t strike me to even want to go back ever. I sent left over food … yep leftovers…. with my friend to give to her dog. I stopped eating because my stomach started to hurt. Even 5 hrs later I still am feeling not so great. Definitely not a place I’d recommend which is a bummer because I’ve heard of it before and have wanted to try for sometime. Def not a great let alone good first impression. Oh and also had to swat flies the entire time we ate. So bummed it was a let down for me.

Friendly staff and good food. The place could use a little facelift or makeover. But was still a great experience for us. Would go back and recommend!

I’ve been here several times and the food isn’t bad but it takes way too long. The last and final time 3 of us waited for 45 mins before asking the waitress what was up. She apologized and said she would check on it. We watched here walk over to the kitchen and turn in our order from her pad. Basically she forgot to turn it in. Hey stuff happens but she came back to the table and said the cook was having trouble with our wings and he was putting a rush on it. Clearly she was full of it. Just own up to it or do some service recovery and offer us a discount or something Anything would have been better than lying. It took another 25 mins for our food. Wings were good

Excellent lunch specials reasonably priced. Ed is a fantastic bartender. Terrific sports bar with LOTS of screens. Easy access. Plenty of parking. An Adams County institution!! So glad it is a smoking OUTSIDE facility.
