Really amazing food! On a quiet one way street with an outdoor park/seating area right across the store. Lots of other shop fronts near by so you can enjoy all your time. Food was AMAZING! Well prepared and cooked and spiced. However, the corn bread was honestly terrible but still 5 stars!

Service was poor. We waited 10-15 minutes to order. There was no salt at the table and the waitress kept forgetting to bring hot sauce. Coffee took a while. The hash browns were chopped boiled potatoes. Portions were small. The seating area was cold.

When your bread & ricotta dish looks like this, you know you’re at a very special place. The chef here has been named Vermont Cher of the Year, and the presentation and quality of ingredients shine through. A brilliant experience awaits you – don’t miss it!

This place is ridiculously overpriced. I paid $23 for a chicken and rice plate that had so much juice left over I could have made a soup. The ravioli plate was $22 and comes with four ravioli. 4 ravioli are you kidding me?! And it wasn’t even amazing food. It’s fine dinning pricing with the food being nothing special at all. There were 8 people in my party and I would say each meal was a good double the price of what it should have been. Would not waste my money here again. When I saw the prices I thought for sure the food was going to be amazing. What a disappointment.

Great food!! We tried the wagyu burger and the steak, and both were yummy. The atnosphere is cozy and relaxed.

Loved this brunch! Homemade bloody mary’s, hearty hash, fresh soup and pastries were all amazing. Service was friendly and food was farm fresh.

Not very good.

Overpriced and pretentious. Of the four dishes we had the only one enjoyable was the burger. Tries to be an upscale foodie place and fails. You are better off going to a good burger or pizza place where you won’t pay a lot for disappointing food. I truly wonder where the other reviewers praising this are used to dining…

We celebrated our engagement at The Free Range, and it was the perfect experience, restaurant, and food! The environment is so wonderful – you will see everything from people all dressed up, all the way to people in jeans and flip-flops. The food is so fresh and homemade, you can taste the care put into it. Everything is local and you can taste the quality of ingredients. I was very excited to see some vegetarian selections. The executive chef, Michael, is quite talented! When the owner, Rick, found out we were celebrating our engagement, he bought us Prosecco to celebrate our night. We will be returning to this restaurant for years to come… one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had! The location is also perfect for romance, families, or anyone that loves small town charm 🙂

I really loved the food here, but our service wasn’t great. That was just our server though, we saw other people come in after us and leave before us (we were there for 3 hours because of how slow our server was), so that wouldn’t deter me from going back. The inside was cool because it was the inside of a Victorian home and it kept all of its original character. I’d recommend it to anyone near the area.
