The cupcakes are truly the best I’ve ever had. They are flavorful and so well-made that you’d never guess they’re gluten free. The pumpkin desserts have been outstanding as well, especially during the fall season, and have quickly become a favorite in our house.
Every visit, the staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They’re always happy to answer questions or make recommendations.
Our Thanksgiving pickup this year was quick, organized, and completely effortless. Everything was ready on time, beautifully packaged, and exactly as ordered. I’m always impressed with the quality and service here, and I look forward to coming back again and again.

I had the best gluten-free Burger bun I’ve ever had here. Honestly, I couldn’t tell the difference. They have a huge assortment of gluten-free desserts and baked goods. Reasonably good diner style, menu of breakfast and lunch options. Clean bathrooms. Reasonable ambience although a little plain. Definitely not a reason to avoid this place though. If you’re gluten free, the food is stellar. They have some interesting desserts like cupcakes with a cookie dough frosting. Everything is fully gluten free, staff was nice, I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Simply the cutest place with wonderful service and great food. Grabbing breakfast was easy and quick. The outdoor space allows you to bring your dog with you. This will be a spot we will come back again and again.

Life Is Sweet is the kind of place that reminds you how powerful great food and genuine energy can be when they come together. From the moment you step inside, there is an unmistakable warmth to the space not just from the ovens but from the overall vibe. It is bright, upbeat, and welcoming in a way that immediately puts you at ease and sets the tone for a great experience.
We started with the Pop Tarts which deserve special recognition. These are not novelty pastries. They are elevated, flaky, buttery, and packed with flavor. The kind of treat that makes you pause mid bite and immediately realize this place takes its craft seriously. The breakfast burrito was equally impressive. Hearty, well balanced, and comforting without being heavy, it was clearly made with intention and quality ingredients rather than shortcuts.
The waffles with blueberries and whipped cream were outstanding. Crisp on the outside and soft and airy on the inside, with fresh blueberries that added brightness and a whipped cream that felt light and indulgent rather than overly sweet. It was the kind of dish that manages to feel nostalgic and refined at the same time.
Then came the pastries. Any attempt at restraint disappeared quickly. Everything in the case looked incredible and after tasting the first few items it became obvious that passing on anything would have been a mistake. We ended up buying far more pastries than planned simply because the quality across the board was that high. There were no weak links.
What truly elevates Life Is Sweet beyond excellent food is the energy of the place. There is a positivity that fills the room and it is completely effortless. It makes you want to slow down, sit longer, and enjoy where you are. Whether you are stopping in for a quick breakfast or lingering with coffee and conversation, the environment naturally lifts your mood.
Life Is Sweet is not just a bakery or breakfast spot. It is a place that genuinely enhances your day. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is inviting, and the experience stays with you well after you leave. This is a must visit in Danville and the kind of place you will find yourself thinking about long after the last pastry is gone.

Our friend is visiting and has a gluten allergy so we happily drove to Danville to try this place. The whole family loved it and most of the food didn’t taste “gluten free”. At the end of the meal the cookies were a great dessert and were nice and chewy and not dense and crispy like some gluten free cookies I’ve tried in the past. Food portions were a bit smaller than other restaurants, but the prices weren’t too crazy and the cute cafe atmosphere was charming.

Really fantastic. Food and latte were both good. I had the avocado toast— the sunny side up egg was cooked PERFECTLY and the avocado was well seasoned, flavorful. The bread was thick and inoffensive. It was $13 which I at first thought was way too much but I understood the price when they brought me it: it’s a whole avocado’s worth on there!! The oat milk latte was good. I also purchased to-go a brown butter pecan cookie, cookie dough cupcake, butterscotch chocolate muffin, and a cinnamon roll (more of a cinnamon square). All these pastries together were $19– very fair!! Flavors are good, not identifiably gf which is rare. The best part is the VARIETY they offer. My parents also tried each item (neither are gf) and both said they were as good as glutinous pastries.

We love this place and have added it to our Sunday morning routine for brunch. It is the kind of place Americans tend to love in Europe. Bright and clean, young, efficient and friendly serving staff, fabulous baked goods and great coffee. My favorite is the omelette. It is a go-to place for young families, cyclists, runners and after-church goers. Great to sit outside and watch Sunday unfold.

Happy to support them! They are a fantastic GF bakery and breakfast spot. They opened this morning for a few hours and I’m happy to say they were busy. The bakery items are so good. Most wouldn’t realize everything is gluten free. I encourage you to follow them and find out when they will be open again. It’s so important to support our local businesses in this crazy time. Enjoy!
