We get floored every time we come here but we live close- The girls are half crazy. They look at you cross eye and refuse to wait on you as they chit chat with their friends. And then the manager doesn’t even know if it’s OK for the patrons to vape in front of kids. It was 7:00 in the evening.
They strictly ignore——that’s their policy—- to ignore!! Honestly, I would love to see this place go out of business!!
My husband and I were at Rivertown that night, you most definitely skewed what actually happened that evening. Furthermore, it’s highly inappropriate to make fun of people who have a medical eye condition. They are not crazy, looking at you cross eyed, each of them have lazy eye, your perception of them is nothing more than your ignorance. As a last note, as a mother of 2 and a grandmother of 4, we have never allowed our children/grandchildren to run wild in a restaurant so we could sit in peace and enjoyed an adult beverage.
When I was in here on Saturday, it was very clean and modern. They had a lot of soon to be seating outside, which will be very nice when it gets warm out.
Being that they had just opened a few days ago, the menu was very limited. Only drinks were available. They did, however, have a temporary Mexican food truck set up outside. They did say that their own food would be available after the new year.
When we were talking to the waitress, she said that there were 5 owners. 2 of those owners run Whiskeys, Frank’s Pizza, and Captain’s in Wyndotte. I’m sure the others own various bars/restaurants in the area as well.
The waitress actually asked us to share some ideas for food, which I thought was very considerate. It’s always nice to see employees listen to their customer’s suggestions and preferences.
Honestly, this place has incredible potential. Being located in the heart of Old Trenton, the possibilities are endless. It could bring an element of nightlife, which the area desperately needs. The menu said that they’d be open until 2am, which is a good sign.
Overall, with the competent esblished ownership, this place could thrive. No matter what direction that they decide to go with, I think that this place will be a go to spot when it’s all said and done.
