The drunken noodles are another great option. They’re soy-sauce-based noodles with chili and Thai basil, and they have a caramelized, Maillard-rich flavor. The only downside, again, is the wide rice noodles, which are completely broken apart.
The larb is also excellent and has strong, fresh flavors of mint, coriander, and onions, with a funky savoriness from the fish sauce and a good level of spiciness. It is just strange that you pay extra for sticky rice.
Finally, the mango sticky rice is almost perfect. The sticky rice itself is cooked beautifully, with a well-balanced sweet and salty sauce. The mango is ripe and sweet. Unfortunately, the portion feels a bit small for the price.
The owner is friendly and attentive, and each table has the usual Thai condiments that you should add to customize and boost the flavor of the dishes.
The dishes are incredibly authentic and absolutely delicious. I came for the boat noodle, and it’s even better than I remembered! We also tried the papaya salad with marinated crab and added squid—the squid was so tender and flavorful. Their special of the month, the Tom Saap Beef Hot Pot, was another standout dish—so tasty!
I can’t wait to come back and try the pork rib hot pot next month. This place is a gem, and I’ll definitely be a regular!
From the grilled meats to the vibrant som tam (papaya salad), the food here is a true showcase of well-done Isan flavors. The dishes are packed with that signature umami, heat, and aromatic depth that make Isan food so special.
Beyond the amazing food, the owners, Jid and Pong, are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their passion for authentic cooking shines through, making every visit feel like a special experience.
I highly recommend this place if you love traditional Isan-style Thai food —you won’t be disappointed — Ko
My friend and I ordered the same dish,. The boat noodles with beef and original rice noodles at a mild level of spiciness. They give you a great condiment tray of hot pepper, fish sauce, sugar and chili vinegar if you need extra. My soup came out first, though I would of thought they would come out same time as I waited for my friends to be delivered before I started to eat. which ment mine was losing steam.
The flavor of the broth was so savory, so good. The meat was tender. I’m not a fan of Asian meatballs, but these were really good. I will definitely be back for the boast noodle soup and to try the other dishes.
Atmosphere: plan not fancy but clean. Service: excellent. Food: excellent
