I am a big fan of this place. It was a great experience overall.
I wanted breakfast this morning and drove here after seeing something different in maps.
I walked up the ordering window/door and was greeted by a gentleman that helped with my order.
He got me a plate with sausage patties, country ham, scrambled eggs with cheese, seasoned potatoes, and bread lightly toasted. He worked his way to the team inside and it was only $11. It was cash only and that is not an issue to me.
The food was hot and fresh and everything was delicious. I would definitely come here again when I’m in the area.

Today was my first time visiting after watching a TikTok. Great food, good customer service, and reasonably priced. I had the breakfast plate, salmon pattie, grits, and scrambled eggs with cheese for $10. Spent an extra $1 for a cup of lemonade. The parking is street parking and the place is walk-up windows only. I will be back.

Wordup, Tater Bread is a cornerstone in Durham & has a black owner who has been vital in our Durham community for years. So go grab a breakfast plate!

Friendly neighborhood breakfast takeout. Often you’ll meet native Durhamites while waiting for your order. I have been here 20 years but not native. I normally buy a bacon, egg, cheese on toast and a bowl of grits or corned beef hash.

Another favorite breakfast spot in Durham!!! Food is always fresh, delicious, and made with love! The salmon cakes are always amazing! That and the buttery grits with cheese, soft scrambled eggs with cheese, and a soft biscuit, is my usual go to! Don’t forget to wash it down with a half & half (sweet tea and lemonade)
