I have not had the entrees, but the small plates are all you need.

The small plates are small, so you should expect to get more than one per person. My wife and I tend to get four small plates and split them. All of the dishes we’ve had are very well thought out and prepared, each of them has great flavors and presentation.

The atmosphere is great, it’s got sort of a dimly lit, upscale, arty feel to it. The building is really old and has a lot of character, like not all of the floors are 100% even, but it adds to the atmosphere.

My wife and I had our wedding reception here, and the staff was extremely helpful. We had around 80 people on the third floor, which has some really cool decorations including old coffee roasting machinery. It does have elevator access. I would definitely recommend it based on our experience.

GREAT PLACE TO HOST A PARTY

We reserved Swig for our son’s rehearsal dinner. The location in the Third Ward was perfect. Christine met with us twice – once to give us a tour of the facility and once for the taste testing. She was very professional and answered all of our questions. Between meetings she answered all our email within 24 hours and was extremely helpful with suggestions as we planned the event.

The venue is a converted coffee roasting factory with a classy industrial look. We hosted 40 people at our event ages 4 to 76. There is a freight elevator in the back for those who have difficulty managing steps.

William was an excellent host and Max was the consummate bartender making sure to take special care of my wife and mother. The other staff (whose names escape me) were very professional and pleasant. The food was fantastic and the vegetarian options were very good – even for this meat and potato guy. William and the staff accommodated our bringing party “gifts” for the guests as well. There is a TV screen to show videos – just make sure you have the correct cables to plug in. Finally, the Frank Sinatra music in the background was an excellent touch to a fantastic evening.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Swig to anyone looking to host an event where family and friends are gathering.

I love good food. I love a good atmosphere. However, you don’t always get both in the same place. With Swig, you do.
The lighting is just right, the fixtures are on trend, and the whole place just exudes a hip vibe, yet inviting to all.
The craft cocktails are special and the food is outstanding! Service was attentive and friendly and the prices are more than fair.
It does not surprise me however, that this in another restaurant owned by the Sorge’s.
It seems that everything they touch turns to gold; another superb eatery in a list of many.
If you haven’t been to Swig, you are missing out.

Very nice modern decor restaurant with light jazz music playing in background. Innovative menu with terrific blending of sauces, spices and other ingredients. Highly recommend the salmon sandwich and turkey club. Service was awesome. Thank you to both Max and Eric who made are experience very enjoyable. Great custom cocktails too!

Went here for the first time today, with my husband, son and daughter-in-law. They’d been here before and liked it. The food was really good, the service was great, and the owner/manager? was wonderful. I had asked for a sandwich with the flavored cream cheese on the side. It arrived with a side of cream cheese…and more slathered on the sandwich. So, I scraped it off. I did, however, tell the waiter. I also told him getting me another sandwich wasn’t necessary. However, they made me another one! And, wrapped it up to take home. That was SO sweet. AND, a great way to insure that I’ll be returning, and will recommend them to all! Thanks SWIG for a great experience!

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a couple of cocktails. Their service was excellent and the drinks were very good.also had a crab cake and it was solid. When the front windows are open and you can take in the outside..a nice place to hang out.

The atmosphere is great. We talked to the bartender about their specialty house infused liquors, and he told us he had no idea what to make with them. The service was overall quite lackluster and inattentive for such a high profile establishment. There are a ton of places to eat in the third ward, and many will be better bang for your buck than swig.

We are big Swig fans! We host many of our company events upstairs in the Broadway Room and Roasting Room. The space works out perfectly for us regardless the size of our group. We hosted a Christmas dinner party for our team last year. The dinner was absolutely wonderful. We sat 22 people comfortably for dinner in the Broadway Room and we even had a fire going on the big screen for ambiance. It was followed by music, cocktails and wonderful desserts in the Roasting Room.

It’s an easy location to get to and nearby parking is available. Best of all, the service is top notch. The staff at Swig go out of there way to exceed our expectations every time! I would highly recommend Swig, not only for lunch or dinner out with friends, but also as a first choice for catering an event. You won’t be disappointed!

Our server, Frank, was attentive and pleasant. Our small plates were good, but came out within a few minutes, so I assume they were prepared before and refrigerated or frozen. The burger I ordered came out about 25 minutes after the small plates. It was charred on the outside, raw on the inside and leaked so much grease through the bottom bun, the fries were floating in a pool of liquid fat.
There was a manager standing around the bar and pacing by tables every once in a while. He never asked anyone how things were going or said thanks on our way out. He seemed to be having a pretty good time chatting and laughing with the host and looking at his phone.
Out second drinks were the same we ordered the first time but tasted like something was missing.
I was hoping to see a film crew working on What Would You Do with John Quinones or the first segment to a Kitchen Nightmares episode.
Not really a review-guy, but this was a bad experience. Everything else about the restaurant has so much potential. They need a leader and consistency. They’re taking advantage of their location and charging prices of a far better restaurant. Lower the prices or raise your standards.

Cool place offering good food and almost-lovely dine in experience. The menu includes multiple vegetarian options. The food portions are mostly enough for one person. The service was good but it took us around 1 hour to get our entrées and around 35 minutes to get the starters. This, in my opinion, is unacceptable and did ruin the experience for us specially they were not so busy that day (Tuesday). The restaurant is also, as expected, is pricey and the food quality was not that amazing to justify paying that much. I’d think twice before I come again. I know for sure it won’t be my first choice for a fancy dining night.
