WOW. after reading so much about this spot and it showing up on my foodie trending list i decided to hit it today and early because the word is spreading fast and it does sell out. i went in to get a little bit of everything for me and my husband a try. he loves bbq and i am a fan as well. and this place does not disappoint. i ordered a 1/2 pound of all the meats and the corn bread and potato salad. holy mother of bbq- all of the meat were sooooooo delicious!!! it did not need the sauce – tho it is a nice addition. so impressed and delighted with the quality of the food- just straight up best in the area- nothing we have in the area comes close. tender, moist, smokey pieces of delight. i highly suggest you get to this place and do it early in the day so you get what you want. the potato salad was good, just a little too much dressing/mayo (super rich flavor) and the corn bread was good. can’t wait to try other sides. staff was really nice and polite (a trait that is really missing from most restaurants in this area these days). the place was clean and had plenty of condiments to help you accessorize your choices. darn glad they decided to put down some roots here – we needed some real good comfort bbq from people that take pride in what they do. thank you !!! we are lucky to have you !!

They advertise Waygu brisket and have to admit, it’s the softest brisket I’ve eaten in a while. Asked for the juicy cut and got a traditional juicy cut with a mix of flat and point. Didn’t see much of a smoke ring or smokey flavor and suspect that they don’t trim their brisket much.
Otherwise, flavors were there and texture was amazing.

Wanted to love it but it was a miss for me. The mac and cheese was noodles with canned cheese and cheezeits on top. The baked beans could have used some chopped onions and bbq sauce to add some more flavor and maybe slow cooked in a crock pot or baked in the oven . The brisket was good . I always like to visit a place twice to see maybe it was a off day for them .

Pulled pork was good and very tender but was on a very plain hamburger bun. BBQ sauce was very generic. I’m guessing store bought not an original. They usually have a daily special. I got the pulled pork, fries and a drink $10. This is in the old Dickey’s BBQ place and still has the complimentary soft serve ice cream.

Today was my first visit to Loony Bin BBQ and it was impressive. I ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich Combo with BBQ Beans, it was served hot and quick. The pulled pork was great and the beans were some of the best I’ve tasted at a restaurant. I will be coming back.

This place is HANDS DOWN the best BBQ I’ve had on the east coast. I often dream about their brisket. Do yourself a favor and get down there and try it!

We love the brisket! The kids (and I) like the extreme sports memorabilia and free soft serve. Nice local Maryland feel and flavors. Don’t be too late or the brisket could be gone, but the other meats we have tried have been good too

Great service and the food was phenomenal. I really enjoyed the beef brisket sandwich and potato salad, but the BBQ baked beans really got me. The house BBQ sauce has enough kick that you notice it, but not so much that it overpowers the flavor of the meat. It’s got a nice sweetness to it, too.
